Sup all,

I'm writing an essay about online poker and i'd like some help.

1.- (US players only) I understand theoretically u are not allowed to deposit money on sites working offshores, however u can still get around it and play on PS/FT somehow.

Plz describe what u are actually forbidden to do and what you can do. Add anything else u feel is relevant.

2.- For anyone who actually lives of poker, answer if you pay taxes, and if you recieve anything in exchange (healthcare, retirement pension, etc). Do not forget to state where u from.

"You Are Only Young Once" - Poker book written by a nit

I've finally surpassed what I'll consider the biggest downswing in my poker career since being a winning player (at nl25 lolz), and tbh it didnt hit me at all. I kept grinding. Lost money a week, more grind. I knew it. I knew eventually winnings would come again, and I could take a shot at nl50.



At some point before, I lost my poker passion. But during the downswing... It just felt different; it felt like when I first started, and I knew I had to keep my shit together and aim to move up.

Then I became obssesed with poker. Wanted to find more spots to value bet thinly, to give opponenets rooms to bluff, to get FUCKING better at this game and GTFO of nl25. This is how I feel now. I just want to learn moar poker.

Srsly, from my last 100k hands at nl25 all I can tell is that poker is such a ridicously swingy game that short term results should not phase me at all. I mean, i've always known it, but i'm finally starting to FEEL IT and not get affected by results. Being overrolled definetately helped.



Then runned hotter than sun at my 2bi shot at nl50, so I just want to run decent enough to put 100k hands here and say i'm a winner at nl50 and move up. Sample is ridicously low, but winnings allow me to become a "nl50 reg".

On August 21-22 WCG Chile will be held in Movistar Arena.



First player qualifies to Panamerican WCG (Tourney for latin america + usa/canada WCG winners). If I win for some reason, I'll try to pay trip myself to LA.

After quitting BW for a while i've been around a Month preparing for this, and I only care to do my best, cause i'll prolly hang the mouse after this and play poker only.

Tomorrow is group stage (32 registered players) and finals will be held on Sunday.
I am in no way favorite but I have somewhat of a shot If I get lucky with matchups/maps.

I've practiced my builds on each map and I feel rdy for this. I've got 3rd-4th at WCG a couple of times before (back in 2004 or smth) and I hope the mental endurance provided by poker + experience at live games gives me an edge over other nervous nerds i'll be facing.

Will be updating each day with games description and results.
Btw I play protoss and i'm a fanboy of BeSt =D.

Given nicknames are huge on live games, post suggestion on something to wear next to my tag for games =D

Had to cashout, didn't want to as I was eager to move up but w/e my game is really good now (for nl25 lulz) so gonna grind a shit ton next month and be properly rolled to move up again. Last month was really solid. It seems my redline isn't as gay as before which has me really happy since its always nice to have a bigger e-pennis .
