Running very well
  bigbb33, Jan 23 2007

Been hitting a lot of flops, getting high variance calls right a high % of the time, but also playing well.

BR is now at $1185, and I'm considering playing around a bit at 50 NL.

Last couple of days
  bigbb33, Jan 20 2007

Played maybe an hour or two a day, 3 tables 25 NL 6-max at PS.

I did really well these days, partially because I'm running well (sucked out a bit), but I feel I'm improving a lot too.

My bankroll is now $1038, so it's nice to be back above the 1k level. I could take a shot at 50 NL, but I'm going to iron out a lot of my holes at 25 NL first.

The Past Two Weeks
  bigbb33, Jan 16 2007

Here is a graph of the past two weeks of my play - the most striking thing is less so the $ change than the amount of hands I've played: far too little.

My goals as a poker player are to be able to beat 4-6 tables of 50 NL 6-max at 5 bb/100 by May. Currently I'm about even at 25 NL, though I swing around a lot.

I play three tables (used to be two) at a time, which while giving less raw results allows me to spot my mistakes and improve upon them - and I make many mistakes.

So my goal for the next little bit is mostly going to be to play more; unfortunately, I have weird tilt. What does that mean? It means that me tilting = me logging off: instead of getting upset and shoving all in or whatever, I just quit PS for awhile. But wait, there's more to my tilt: I don't tilt because of bead beats, ever. I tilt when I get outplayed, and I really get upset and log off. It's not a terrible type of tilt (and is probably occasionally +ev), because I'm able to quit if I'm playing against someone better than me, BUT getting outplayed is part of the growth progress and I need to deal with it, learn from it, and improve. Quitting after getting outplayed in a big pot, though, stops that, and so I don't play many hands.

Anyway, I will come up with a more concrete goal (#hours/day) sometime later and edit this post.

First Post!!!11!one

Since LP added the blog feature and everyone seems to be doing it, I thought I'd create one for myself.

The purpose of this blog may be slightly different from others: my goal is not to share how I'm doing or such with others (although that's great as a side benefit), but more to act as a place in which I can record my progress for myself.
