Solid week. Today I got my first dose of the 12 dollar level. Not much different, got hit by a 3 outter on the river 4 handed in one for a ginormous stack, which sucked. But still made for an up day. I'm really feeling good about my game right now and also my mindset. Not really getting tilted by bad beats as much, just know they are gonna come.

Something I've done recently is started to realize the showdown value of hands. I've been seeing alot more cheap showdowns and it's been paying off.

Things to work on would be not spewing as much, people are just stations, it doesn't matter how many barrels you fire they aren't folding so if i miss with AK give it a cbet and then give up.

Because there isn't much to blog about.

I was really out of poker for a good 6-7 months when I started work. Starting a new job is always stressful for the first month or so, worrying about things like whether i'd be able to get along with work mates, other graduates, senior management etc etc. Finally settled in after 6 months and i feel more like a permanent fixture around the office. I'm planning to study for professional qualifications so that'll also drain a lot of my time. The pay is average but sustains my lifestyle so I was content with my situation. I managed to save a bit on the side while servicing daily spending. There is no need to grind poker when you get your first paycheck after a 5 year stint as a broke uni kid. It's like wut? so much monies!

Then I made a loan repayment for my parents debt. Suddenly all my savings were gone. I was a busto. The debt itself isn't substantial and since its with a family friend, it is basically interest free. Nevertheless, it is a debt I need to pay off. I think I can still manage to save a bit even after the annual payments but that amount only allows me to put a deposit on a place after 1.5 years and that also means no travel. Although I haven't been a big fan of travel so far, i believe i should see the world more and check out some places i've always wanted to visit like korea and japan. Would be awesome to go to GSL and watch the graken crush through while eating galbitang. I feel pretty uncultured amongst my workmates who have traveled the world, visited a lot of exotic places. But unfortunately i'm tied down at home as the sole breadwinner. When this became obvious to me, i felt hungry to grind poker. Hungry for more money. I've felt this hunger during the last year of uni when i had alot of time but no money. Thus the next logical step was to consider my options in making more money. I'm doing a 9-X job (where x is >=5, =<8723ad3453s94). Another job however cruisy will crush me. Being a graduate, my skill set is also quite limited. Poker was a pretty obvious answer. Live or online? Live is too time consuming and variance is too high. Not to mention i feel like shit after being down after a 2-3 hour losing session on Sunday with work to look forward to. Although that didn't stop me playing for fun/cash because my edge is so huge, i don't think it is viable if i dont run like a god when considering rake and "time charge". Online is better, more relaxed and i'm home, cutting down on travel time and it works around my schedule.

I think i've improved my game a bit, i.e. redline is steadily trending up after i plugged leaks, changed style, leveled up. Taking this shit FOR REALS. I'll have to grind my br a bit higher before taking shots at 100nl but i'm pretty sure i have an edge on 100nl. My mate was planning to move out to a place close to the office and we had planned to just grind after work / sleep over / work next day but i think that's been put on hold because his parents are against it. He's a 200nl reg taking shots at 400nl so can definitely learn from him. Too bad he's a nit. BR atm is ~2k having grinded from 100 bux left on my friends account over 3-4 months early last year before dicking around at 100nl for a few thousand hands then stopping completely.

I think my goals for this year are as follows:

1. 10k br by the end of the year (i.e. include rb)
2. Become a 200nl reg
3. Learn zvz, get into masters league and quit sc2

I shouldn't have a problem with volume since i'm motivated. I just need to keep the motivation up. Damn that grind house would have been awesome. These goals are pretty easy to achieve considering i'm awesome at poker.

i wanna stay in the kiddie pool where i don't gotta pay shit like taxes. pretty sad to know that i'm only really earning like 60 to 65 cents on the dollar in actual money i get to keep.

Once again I'm slightly more drunk then I'm supposed to be. Thank good for firefox's built-in spelling thingy. And "thingy" is a word, everyone who has seen anything by Joss Whendon knows that. Fuck firefox.

Today was another awesome day. I got advice from Sanai and Bohus about some stuff and they're both very wise young/fairly young men who's bet sizeing probably sucks ass. Then I played some poker and made like 2-3k before getting a txt msg form my friends Matti and Pauliina who will leave Sweden tomorrow so went out and ate dinner and drank a non disclosed number of beers with them. When I got to the restaurant I they had us wait (!) because they had no tables ready. They asked if we wanted something to drink and I replied "A glass of red wine, please". At once I started to wonder if I turned gay, but realised that I in no way feel that anal sex would be nice so I figured that I for some reason just tend to like red wine. Sorry Daniel.

After that I went to some student bar and ordered "Irish Coffee". It might have been the most horrid drink I've ever tasted. On a scale from 1 to 10 where 10 is "Passable" and 1 is "distilled piss" it was a weak 2. I'm fairly sure you'd actually need burnt coffee, cream from 1998 and some kind of home made Somalian Whiskey to make such a drink. It was probably the worst liquid I've ever tasted. And I've been to Bulgaria.

Then I took a cab home. They taxi driver told me that he only worked nights, I asked how he did that because I tend to get very tired if I try to work nights. He was like; "wtf why?". I replied; "well either it gets to bright so I wake up early or some buddy calls me and wants something in the middle of my sleep". He said he didn't have friends. I got scared. For many reasons.

Anyway, I just wanted to express how much I like everyone (except Daniel W and Simon. You guys shouldn't get bigger heads anyway, lol). Kraaaam!

Looking to sort of bounce this off of you guys, as I don't really have any experience with this.

Basically, a good friend of mine (who is my ex gf, from like 3 years ago, we haven't been romantically involved for ~2 years and I'm not looking to reignite that), has gone from a healthy weight to nearly 150% of her previous weight over a period of 4 or so years. She is overweight now, and according to BMI is on her way to being considered obese. I honestly am worried about the direction she is headed, as she has very bad eating habits/food preferences and always has.. I guess its just been kicking in since she passed ~19 years old.

Should I talk to her?
How should I approach it?
What should I NOT say? lol

Running super hot at nl100, coolering tons of people, and been having some fun experimenting with some unusual plays. Not actually sure if my unusual plays have resulted in larger profits or not rofl.




I've ran SUPER, extremely bad at nl200 and I tilted a bit too . I'm down 16 buyins for the month there LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Times like this I always think about "well I could just spend the next 2 weeks grinding the limit I'm comfortable at and have a nice healthy mindset and roll for the next limit afterwards!", but there's literally zero chance that if my roll is above ~22buyins for the next limit that I'm not sitting at it lol. Oh well.

Just going to keep on truckin.. off to the gym and a movie date with a friend.

Also got 140 on MB in rakeback from last month's ipoker play. Now I'm gonna put everything on Stars (trying to achieve 200k VPP for the year). I'm thinking about either playing NL50 to get used to "new" software, or jump to NL100 directly. What do you think? (Roll is ~3040)

Weekend now and I wish I had the time to play more, but it's hard to say no to the delicious bottle. Anyway, couple of months ago I thought about making a video, but since I have been playing so bad it would probably be very un-educational for all of you that would have been interested. I'm gonna wait a while now while rebuilding my roll and If my good run continues then I promise to show my spewtastic game =)

I've been grinding nl600 through nl1k live, the field is cool, some drunking millionaires spewing money everywhere and some nit regulars

would be nice if I didn't run like shit every session
everyone in my house is running like shit, except by one guy who doesn't beat nl25 online, he made 10k in 5 days at nl1k

everything here is so expensive that makes me sick
porsches, lambos, ferraris and mclarens everywhere
any decent party is 200$+ and they may not accept you there if they don't like your face

girls here are amazing, but for some unknown reason they ignore my existance
maybe they are looking for some rich fat bald motherfucker, not some hot guy like me, who knows

Yo! It's one three of january and I didn't post yet today, my bad! Here I am to hook u up with some bloggage. Worked for 8 hours today and got 9K vpps. I lost 8 hundo at the tables, so 'lil poopy wasn't a happy camper! I was sick today, so I was real happy I even got the hours in.

Due to sickness, I don't really wanna write much tonight, sorry y'all! Hmmmmmm Aleksandra has an awesome art show tomorrow! She's in a gallery out in Riverhead, so I'm pretty excited about hitting that up tomorrow. I will put a picture of her piece in the blog tomorrow for you guys/gals to see.

Gonna make some vids tomorrow for my poker forums....I got a proposition bet brewing, and I'm gonna blast that out tomorrow so I'll keep you guys updated with that once it starts rolling. Besides that, nothin' real exciting here in the world of poopy today! I shoveled some snow today, so I guess that was kinda awesome.
