Feeling emo

As much as it must feel that it sucks to breakeven for 4k hands I'd get used to it if I were you because it is unfortunately very very standard.
Wait until your first 10buyin or more downswing which lasts for 50k hands and you'll look back on this and laugh lol.
As for taking a break, a good idea although don't get too dependent on switching away from poker for ages since you do need to get used to the variance and not let it affect how much you play.

Wow, so I just looked back at your other blogs, and notice that you're "IntenseDawg" on Stars. After my downswing at 25NL, I have been playing a lot of 5NL/10NL lately, and have sat at some tables with you. I gotta say bro, you act like a jerk at the tables. It doesn't personally bother me, especially if you're trying to put people on tilt. Although it is cute when you say "ty" after winning a big pot when no one congratulated you.

Anyhow, yeah variance sucks. Don't know if you remember, but you were at my table when I got rivered a few times in succession. If you think it's bad now, just wait until you move up to 25NL. Had a day where I lost about 8 buyins, and was ready to give up poker the next day. Losing $200 in a day is no fun especially when you get your money in way ahead.
