Microstakes and Neteller support
  TianYuan, Apr 10 2007

Soooooooooo, inspired by midians microstakes challenge and the fact that neteller once again gave me the run-around, I decided to play some NL2.

Maaaaaaaaan.

NL2 is soooo eaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasy. EDIT: Played a mini-session (had to stop cause I kept disconnecting), 193 hands, 4 tables, +2 buyins, PT BB 44/100 :D

The NL10 I think is from a few 1 table sessions I did earlier, maybe some left overs.. surprised at the amount of hands.

I've now called neteller 3 times, first time they tell me to send in a copy of a utility bill - done.

Support person I talked to sounded like she was a native speaker.

Ok, nothing happens for like a week, so I call them again, get some guy who's played starcraft for 10 years, wont go into details but pretty funny. Anyway, he tells me they take 9 days to process this stuff.. Also native speaker.

9 days was thursday last week. SOo, I give them easter weekend too, and call them again today (well yesterday).

This time I get to speak to 2 different people - 1 indian sounding girl who speaks way too fast and on a way too bad phone, she then redirects me to some french sounding girl whose phone volume is apparently set to like 0, bleeeeh.

They say 16 days.

I just realized it's been 16 days already. I'll give them a day or two more, but I really dunno what I'm supposed to do, calling them doesnt seem to be doing me much good.

But since they said 9 business days (and I assume they meant 16 business days as well), I guess I'll make deductions for the easter weekend + the other weekends -_-

Netelleraments!
  TianYuan, Mar 23 2007

Sooooooo, I decided to move to UB - fast tables, HU tables and nice rakeback + deposit bonus = good for a fledgling bankroll, yeah?

I was actually just going to deposit a NL25 roll of my own money but several people advised against this (probably very wisely so!), so I decided to withdraw.

Now, since I'm about as patient as a dayfly, I obviously wanted the fastest way of cashout - which I guess would be something like cashing out into a creditcard.

Now we get to problem number 1: You can't withdraw into mastercard, and you can only withdraw into a VISA card if you've made a deposit with said card.

Yeah.

Stuck! So what do I do? I create a neteller account.

Yeah, with all the horror stories I've heard about neteller from people I was, to say the least, not very happy about having to do this..

However, it seemed to be working fine for europeans so what the hell, surely nothing bad will happen to me!?!?

I create the account, read through stuff, deposit my modest bankroll of 650$ into it (didn't play that much lately for various reasons).

30 minutes later I login to check on my precious monies (yeah, I know it will take up to 72 hours but I'm an optimist you see), when I'm greeted by this lovely message:

An error has been encountered

Your account has been closed.

Please call NETELLER Security at 00 800 7767 6343 and press 0 then option 2, or email admin@neteller.com.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

OOPS?

At this point I'm not sure if I should scream or curse so I decide to do both while smile/laughing in a crazyish sort of way - solid reaction imo.

So after woving to do stuff to stuff I decide to do the sensible thing - call their support!

There I'm informed that I have to submit a copy of a utility bill to get my account re-opened.. Wish they would have had some kind of note, SOMEWHERE, saying that you can't deposit without doing this!

Soooooooooooo, I sent it to the email I was given and yeah, got a reply back saying it has been recieved and is pending a review.. This was like 1.5 days ago, and since then I've basically been checking my inbox like a madman cause I'm, as said earlier, impatient as fuck.

I've also tried to cancel my UB account since I signed up via a non-LP.net rakeback site and yeah, now LP.net provides UB rakeback so we'll see how that goes ..

Basically I want to play poker - watching poker videos isn't a full-worthy substitute T_T

Yeah, I'm such an addict.

EDIT: For some reason it seems like I'm using the enter key way too much, maybe I should let it change lines by itself ><

During current Hold'em session you were dealt..
  TianYuan, Mar 14 2007

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 764 hands and saw flop:
- 68 out of 133 times while in big blind (51%)
- 33 out of 138 times while in small blind (23%)
- 110 out of 493 times in other positions (22%)
- a total of 211 out of 764 (27%)
Pots won at showdown - 32 of 53 (60%)
Pots won without showdown - 84

+80$

I'm good son.

+ Like 200 hands I played before I reset the counter.

Stars froze or who knows how high I'd go!

I sucked out HORRIBLY on some guy, almost felt bad. I misplayed the hand kinda horribly (obviously intended to set an image, although I think I overdid it, badly) and of course I make trips on the river.. Yea.

On the other hand, I lost a lot to rivers with AA and KK so I guess it evens out! Funny how my KK has a higher win % than AA in pokertracker :D

Weeeeeeee

I almost don't want to play anymore now, what if I can't repeat this :D (first heater in a month, feels so goooooood).

What kind of minimum buyin-requirement should I follow if I continue to play 26/21 or thereabouts? I'm guessing my old 25buyin-> move up, might be a bit risky :c

WEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeee
  TianYuan, Mar 13 2007

Ok, first things first - some of you may know me as frozenarbiter back on Teamliquid, and yeah, just wanted to mention that.

2nd, why am I writing this? Cause I've had a horrible bad run and I'm finally out of it (I think) and I feel fucking fantastic :D!

Anyway, I started playing poker with the help of GroT, back in late november 2006, really enjoyed it and by the end of december I was a silverstar and rolled for NL25 (yeah, I 12tabled sickening amounts, while watching the simpsons/futurama).

NL25 full ring.. was unkind to me. For whatever reason, my fearless raising of pocketpairs and constant cbetting (yeah, a bit unusual for full ring NL10 I guess) wasn't working at all here (probably also had a lot to do with the money being a lot more to me and therefore leading to me playing less confidently), lost like 200$+ in 2 days (but hey, I made silverstar once more for january).

Np tho, I was on a sickening heater at this time - I had beaten NL10 for 100$++/day for a few days before moving to NL25, and after my downswing (if you can call it that) I proceeded to make back 20 buyins in 2 days (yeah..).

NL25 full ring still sucked so I decided to move to 6max which worked out pretty damn well, and by the end of the month I took my first stab at NL50 (with only 20 buyins tho, I had lost several times when I had close to 25 and was getting frustrated.. silly me).

SOOoooo, I move up with 1000$, game feels the same.. then 5 bad beats later, I move back down to NL25. Np, I'll just rebuild, right? Yeah.. Unfortunately I don't think I ever reached 800$ again, I lost several buyin pots everytime I reached 790.

I was probably tilting quite a bit and playing waaaaaaay too much, but at the end of 3-4~ days, once the dust settled, I had around 430$ left and decided that enough was enough - NL10 let's go.

I proceeded to drop 10 buyins - instantly.

OK, at this point I was slightly confused. I can't beat NL10? Wtf? Yeah. This was like early february..

I spend 1 month never winning more than 5 buyins at once, often dropping more.. Win rate of like 2bb/100 .. yeah, ughhhhhhhh.

Today I finally realized why.

After losing 3+ buyins to some huge donkeys after I'd been patient and waited for premium hands, I kinda blew a fuse, went berserk on my boxing bag, randomly allined in the 1$ tournament I was in and then opened 12 tables of NL10 and fucking killed it.

3000 hands

+14.5 buyins.

Super aggro play, started off the session by raising almost any 2 cards in position, and sometimes out of it, cbetting and reraising when someone was weak, etc. After a while, I could almost open push the nuts and get called.

FUN :D!

So yeah, almost back to NL25 (I was actually even closer at one point a week or two back but I screwed it up). 555$ bankroll.

Wee. Not quite the 1000$ I had a month ago, but yeah, what can you do.

Also, got samsung monitor from FPP store = awesome.

Maybe now I'll finally stop pestering foolsplay/midian/grot about the ridiculous beats I recieve - afterall, it's hard to get too upset when you don't play just premium hands..
