12 hours of omaha (Graph)
  TianYuan, Jul 13 2008

Oh well at least I made a tiny re-come back towards the end. I think I played muuuuch better than previously during some stretches here (namely in the beginning and in the middle, after eating dinner) but then I just got tired and played too many tables, didn't leave bad ones etc....

I have some HUGE leaks and really need to post some hands and get some help with them, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Gdamn this was a long session =_=

Someone said I posted 250 hands, I dunno if he was exaggerating but it seems entirely possible!

Oh, this makes 10,8k PLO100 hands played in total,

Massive profits from PLO20 and PLO50 at ipoker, down a total of 10$ at PLO100 :D

I >really< need to work on getting my W$WSF flop up from the abysmal 32% it is at right now, at the start of the day when I was fresh it was around 35% (which might just be variance but it might have been I wasnt autopiloting poorly), must be leaking huuuuuuuge in non-sd pots.

TwistedEcho PLO video plz?

I need to really force myself to stick to 4 tables, I don't play well enough to play more than that yet, and not add more just because I'm not getting any big pots ..

I would say I need to start raising more in late position, maybe tighten up even further in the first two spots and REALLY work on my blind play... It looks pretty awful tbh. I'm not sure if the super low W$WSF comes from there being sooooooooooooo many limped pots where I either check my BB with napkins or complete some type of suited ace in the sb and c/f a bricked flop, or if I'm just terrible

Omaha is sick - I love it
  TianYuan, Jun 24 2008

Been playing quite a bit of omaha the last couple of days, very low stakes (since I had an extremely rudimentary grasp of the game and am still at a pretty low level) but what a crazy game =P

Todays session:

Around the midway point I sort of realized I was playing a bit too many hands that I really wasn't doing too hot with, like maybe if I was twice as good I could play them from the positions I was playing them.. But not now =P So as if to show me their approval the pokergods activated a bit of a boomswitch and I stopped losing flips and 60/40s.

Anyway, some hands, I'm sleepy so might make an update later with hands I need help with.

Various

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/471691 - I think his hand is pretty much officially the worst hand I could ever be up against =P

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/471099 - Celebrating my swedish heritage.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/471787 - ........................... Wat?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/471791 - sick hold here

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/471713 - Sigh~

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/471870 - O_o I don't remember him seeing me do anything crazy. I mean, I have done quite a few crazy things during these sessions but still. I checked turn cuz it's such a scary card and he seemed like the type to attack weakness for sure.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/471104 - Straight flush is good.

HELP!

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/471777 - hrmmmmmmmmmmmm, should I give it up because of the FD on the flop?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/471829 - Do I fold here preflop since we're so deep and I have totally craptacular AA?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/471866 - Hrm... I should just stick it in on turn right?=.=

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/471739 - Pretty sure riv is a fold.. Unsure about turn but I guess if I have 2 aces, 2 queens, 9 flush outs... Not much in the way of implied odds tho =____=

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/471117 - Do I just keep betting? Crazy bluffs I can do but I get a bit weaktight when it comes to valuebetting.. Monsters under the bed and all that.

Worst session of my life.
  TianYuan, Jun 14 2008

12 hours of play (or so), down only 2k but it's SOOOOOOOOOOO TILTING, because I was fucking 178 $ away from breakeven 1 hour ago.

God, I haven't won a flip all day. Not preflop, not on the flop, not even if I'm dominating them preflop. Lost 2 flips at 5/10 (but also sucked out once so the 5/10 results were not very tilting, just super standard).. But this session.... GUDFHGUGH

I usually 4 table but.... tilt. 6-7 tables gogo - . - Probably played my B game (maybe C game towards the end) but also ran like dogshit.

Sad thing is I think my pokertracker managed to not import the last batch of losses (QQ vs AK vs a 30bb stack, he hits obv because I won 1 out of like 10 coinflips today!) 22 vs a shortstack I raised preflop, he calls, I cbet AQ3 flop he calls, I c/r AI on 2 turn, he has 333 gg me, as well as some other hand.. I dunno let's add 300 to the losses maybe).

I'm not even gonna post hands, I don't want to play poker ever again right now -.-
This hand describes my day best:

Did I mention he leaves like 1 orbit later?

5/10 shot and heroic 1 table grind
  TianYuan, Jun 11 2008

Sooooo I just finished 7 hours of poker, of which a significant portion consisted of me ONE TABLING 3/6.. I couldn't fucking leave, between 200 and 300bb deep, shorthanded, vs a 75/25 fish, with position on him. Oh maaaaaaaaaan he was baaaaaaaaaad. He started adjusting a little and I was a bit carddead for a bit, but still finished up on him despite a poor end to the session (down like 500 from my high point, oh well , was standard stuff).

He was like sooo easy to play vs too for most of the time, like betting super small when he had nothing, snapcalling with like jack hi on the flop and and mucking turn blanks (this was soooo helpful when he flopped top set with AA and timed down before he called, then checked it down).

Some hands:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/464642 - How not to make money from 75/25 calling stations, by Prettyfish. I don't know if he was on stone tilt or just playing too many tables to pay attention or something..

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/464597 - He's good 8D

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/464594 - Wee~~

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/464593 - Expert range merge by the whale

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/464590 - Another expert player.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/464589 - Hrm ok this hand was a bit weird, I didn't want to play a big pot here vs anyone but 69coi (actually in hindsight I probably want to vs x29x too, not sure I knew as much about him then tho).. I think with the Ac it would be a fine play, without it, I'm not sure.

Anyway, probably a few other interesting hands but I'm not gonna go through them right now.
Before this awesome 3/6 session (which I didn't finish up THAT much on, only about a buyin despite having 3 buyins on the table =P I guess I must have lost a bunch before that, not that I remember, got tables scrambled after the software froze on me).... anyway, as I was saying, before the 3/6 1 table marathon I was looking for a 2nd table to add, and as there were no good ones at 3/6, I looked at 5/10.

Found a table with a 50bb stack and a 100bb stack, opened it just in time to see the shortstack open jam preflop and sat down as fast as humanly possible He was, indeed, quite literally batshit insane and managed to get another reg to valuestack himself with JJ on A-Q-X vs his Q4sooted ( http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/464657 ). So yeah, he leaves shortly thereafter and I was going to leave as well, but there was another SS fish so I stayed.

Got a nice run of playable hands and ended up raising like 4 or so hands in a row when this gem comes up:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/464563 - The guy from the JJ vs Q4 hand INSTA raises the flop and I valueshove after tanking for a few seconds figuring out wether I should call or shove. He snaps me with 44, life is good.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/464564 - Betsizing tells are good.
EDIT: Ohhhhhh he had a pair, hm..... oh well, given what I'd seen from him I still like my call I think ~~

So in the end I finished up 3k or something like that , maybe 2.5k which certainly isn't like super sick or anything but I'm very happy with the latter parts of the session, as I started out playing quite poorly with several hands I was very unhappy with. Oh well, I'm not sure how much sense I'm making, it's 8 am and I haven't slept yet, just very pleased with the results =] Almost green for 3/6 (I've had soooo many KK vs AA, QQ vs KK, QQ vs JJJ etc at 3/6 ;p, while I run like god on 2/4).

Maybe I'll keep playing (read: taking shots) 5/10 if the games are soft, but I don't really have enough to want to "move up".

  TianYuan, Jun 02 2008

Yeah, weird title I know but wtf someone - out of the blue - just sent me 50$ on iPoker about 2 hours. I have no idea who.

I hadn't even got out of bed at that time so it's not like it was someone I played with. What the fuuuuck? I'm weirded out by this -.-

EVEN
  TianYuan, May 31 2008

FINAAAAAAALLLLLLY
Most tilt inducing session of all time aaaaaaaaah (of all time should probably be translated to in a long time), but I think I ended +10$ or something after grinding for 4 hours and being down like 2k.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/456558 - LOL T-6o
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/456555 - Pretty sure he doesn't raise top pair here cause he probably 3bets any good ace, and I saw him c/c a v good top pair w KT on TXX before, so a bunch of draws and bluffs here.. and 2 pair. Fuck.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/456553 - So I flop the nuts. With a straight flush redraw. Vs bottom 2. He's been running like god and continues to run like god, how the hell doooooessss heeeee hit. Life tilt.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/456631 - 99 vs 25suited on a 678 rainbow flop. WHAT HAND COULD POSSIBLY WIN?

If I had lost this hand I would have gone on the most insane tilt of all time
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/456556

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/456517 I think he owned my soul here or something
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/456648 and I think I was doing the soul owning here. Although not the same guy.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/456663
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/456664
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/456665

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/456666 - Not the faintest idea what the fuck he's doing here lol
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/456668 - No idea what he's doing here either.. Block betting? Bluffing?

I think I've been playing a bit passively lately, I've noticed my W$WSF has dropped a bit.. I need to probably incorporate more post flop aggression and perhaps a tad more preflop (I've been experimenting with not 3betting that much but I think I need to turn up the bluffing post flop if I play that way).

Meh, need to figure out how I want to balance things Probably best to be able to switch things around.

Also, I think playing these monster "GET BACK TO EVEN OR DIE TRYING" sessions really hurt your game after a few hours :D

May graphs
  TianYuan, May 30 2008

10 days of Crypto 2/5, 1/2 6max, some .5/1 HU:

13 days of 2/4, 3/6 6max and 1/2 + .5/1 HU:

Been running veeeeeeeery well at 2/4, but I'm down at 3/6 (one buyin over a tiny sample :D) as a result of running QQ into AA, KK and JJ (that rivers a set zomg life tilt) and stuff like that. Pokertracker has me at 60% won at showdown, I think that's somewhat of a heater..

Gonna try to play more hands next month (it's actually not as lazy of a month as it looks like, I play 3-4 tables only nowadays , pulled more than one all nighter this month), especially HU. Would like to be able to take a few 5/10 shots over the summer (I want 50+ buyins before I try my hands on 5/10 I think, been going with 30+ since 2/5 but I feel 5/10 swings might affect me more).

Feel like I've been making some progress, in handreading, thinking correctly (or less incorrectly) in spots I used to not think through. Still need to work on some stuff (who doesnt) but still, I'm happy.

Oh and huge thanks to Day[9] for teaching me how to not spew money from patience tilt at HU ^_^

Btw how do people feel about flatting his open here? I'm not sure, I like it cause I sort of want to play AK vs a bigger stack but meh, nobody was very aggressive (I think the semi-big stack was more cally than raisy) at this table IIRC. I guess call and hope the other shortstack shoves so I can stack two donks with one hand..

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/455952 - How do people feel about cbetting this flop? I was gonna just c/give up here but turn came too perfect not to bluff yea? I'm not sure if I should be following through on the river here.

GREEN!
  TianYuan, May 10 2008

Green for may omg ship it etcetc

+900 today playing 2/5 and 1/2 and .5/1 HU (dropped 3 buyins to huge coolers, doh), I ran like teh sungod incarnate @ 1/2 (running like god at 1/2 is stnd for me :D as opposed to HU).

Day was sweating me during the HU which totally rocked since I realized huge patience leaks for me, alas, even good play can't prevent total coolers like trips vs boat

Standard run like god 1/2 hands (+926$ in 403 hands):
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/442152
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/442135
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/442113 WTF?!!? I'm a luckbox tho, for sure.

Standard 2/5 hands (+285$ in 483 hands):
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/442090
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/442144 - this hand was so weird, so so weird - the guy 3bets AQ, then checks a Q hi flop and now he pots and snapcalls a shove with ace high lol :D Backwards much?
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/442112

No HU hands cause my PT is weird and won't actually open the hands.. but, -301$ in 177 hands.

Ahhhh it feels great to be back in the green, and I've logged a very nice amount of hands this month (playing between 1 and 6 tables, mostly 3-4 I guess). Not the kind of huge amounts I played in december but still, 1k a day or thereabout is an amount I'd love to keep up.

Also tried to play some PLO (microstakes obv, nl25) earlier today which didn't go too well (I'm a fish(, if anyone has any recommendations for good PLO primer vods or reading feel free to link me.

BRB SUICIDE
  TianYuan, May 04 2008

FUCK YOU MAY
FUCK YOU VERY MUCH

GSDFHGGDHDFOGHDFGDFGDFGDFGDFGDFGDFGDFGDFGDFGDFGDFGDFGDFGDFGDFGDFG
3 KK vs AA today (but hey, I sucked out once!!!!!)
0 x AA vs KK, 0 x AA vs QQ, 0 x KK vs QQ

2 pair never good
Set always run into straight or get drawn out on
Turns are always super gross, either the worst double barrel card in the deck or completes 5 draws at once.

So annoyed right now. Moving down, cause I can't take this anymore and I'm approaching having only 25 buyins for 2/5 (I have 13k something).

Blegh
  TianYuan, May 02 2008

Mostly just a cold as fuck deck, people hitting every single draw, people never folding when I don't have anything, people always folding when I do............
The usual stuff.

If you want to see hands I posted a bunch but I'm not going to link them up right now, too tired.

It's a shitty 3rd day back to poker tho -_- Should probably not have played that 2nd session (was at -2k around 11:30 pm, decided to play some more after I had eaten) tho.
