9 Days/81k VPP + 7.5k Day :) :)
   Joeingram1, October 10

Whats going on guys, 300k VPP month pursuit is going well so far. I set an original goal of 10k VPP/day so that I could be done by Halloween. Fell a little behind that pace the last 2 days and today I sat in bed with my gf all day and watched this tv show FireFly that was only lasted one season+ a movie. After 12 episodes I finally decided to get on the grind some and played about 6k vpps worth bringing my grand total for the month to right around 81,000.

I have been trying to find the best way to put in a mass amount of volume at PLO without losing my mind from the variance and I think I have find a good solution for that. I've been tightening up all my ranges, especially from OOP and I lowered my overall 3bet percent and stopped jamming it in with any draw/set depending on the spot. I might be missing out on a few +ev spots but I figure it is alot better for my overall variance if I play it a little more cautious and take advantage of the more +ev spots that are inevitable to come along. I was feeling pretty good about my game so I decided to add in some more 2/4 plo to the mix and actually had my best plo day ever a few days ago!!!

I can't even describe how amazing it felt to finally play really well and have it all starting to click in my head. Usually my big winning sessions I feel pretty meh but this one I was just fucking ecstatic!! Overall my month started up a bunch then down alot and now is just on the up and up. Will be coming up on another round of 4k FPP/700k vpp milestone bonus as well which help the bankroll out tremondously and give me something to look foward too. Here is my overall graph for the month with about 1k profit/5k hands from NL and the rest is from PLO

Also going to the store to buy those big ass bags of halloween candy to have around to eat is soo +ev. Thanks for reading the blog, need to sleep to wake up tomorrow and grind some more

This Month: 80,879 VPP
This year: 617,076 VPP

3 Days...30k VPP, 3.5k day
   Joeingram1, October 03

3 Days into my 300k VPP for the month prop bet and I am right on pace with 30k vpp. Played a few short sessions today and ended up a bunch playing 1/2 and 2/4 plo. Ran just about about EV actually which surprised me since I figured I had to run pretty well to be up that much for the day. Probably will play some since Im trying to get on a sleep schedule that will allow me to be awake between 10-12pst because that is when 24+ games of what I am playing run, whereas overnight I have to mix in some 2/4 and even then there are not 24 tables running the whole time. I feel like I'm getting better at PLO (only took a 100k hands) so hopefully can continue on the winning ways. Only one losing session so far this month out of a bunch.

Here is graph/stats for the day

VPP Count: 30,071

Year: 566,268

300k VPP Month!!
   Joeingram1, October 02

What's up guys, as the people that have read some of my previous posts know I have a prop bet to get SNE this year. I started this month at 535k VPP after slacking pretty hard in September (I feel like mentally it was going to be too easy to get so I wanted to give myself a challenge, this was all Subconsciously I think lol idk just a theory)

That would basically leave me needed about 155k VPP for the last 3 months of the year. Well I told myself, once October 1st gets here, there is no fucking around Joe, no sleeping in, no cuddling all day on bed with GF, no doing jack shit for no reason. So I got on the ball today and had a great start to the month earning 12k VPP, well on pace for a 300k VPP month. Got in the groove with some nl100 fr lol and then popped out 10k hands at 1/2 PLO, did not run that well (obv no one does at plo) but thougth I played pretty well once my sessions went along. I stuck with only 20-50bb games for todays 2 sessions and seemed to average a pretty good vpp/hand rate. I figure to play in these games with 24 going I will need to readjust my sleep schedule to playing noon-midnightish since overnight usa time not that many 1-2 shallow games run. My results at 1/2 are less then stellar to say the least so far, from my play long ago and my play for the last few months. Hopefully I can keep improving my game and turn it around and put in a few more winning days like today!!

Here is graph for the day, obv no swings

goooo grind

O yeaa I never did blog about my PLO session last week, I played for a little over 23 hours and put in 32k hands, actually was my longest online session ever!!! Was down sooo much money at plo100 but finally ended up!!

August results
   longple, August 30

first im my division, starting to get a hang of sc2 now i feel. allthough i still suck balls. i didnt play the beta so the first 50 games in there is like "lol wtf is this thing i must try that one". first like 80 games i went 50/50 wins/losses now ive started winning more as i play thougher players.

anyways, funny game.

ye havent played much poker this month, im used to 300k hand months normally and this summer has been like supernice, im up almost 30k$ for the summer and havent played more then like 100 hours. feels pretty nice

as for august i played like 50 hours of pokerz and im not gonna play much today or tomorrow either ithink. have been playing so much sc2 but ill try to get in alittle more poker in september.

stats/results of aug (all in SEK, swedish crowns)

remember that 7 SEK = 1$, so 70k sek is 10k$ and so on (97k ~ 13k$)

i lol at how loose i play. dunno why ive kept to 24 tabling like a stupid retardnit for so long and not pulling my finger from my ass before to play some "real" profitable poker.

the winrates are pretty high as u see on all the levels, its kinda standard playing 200bb deep at all times with retarded regs. i wish all sites had a 200bb as a standard.

like it favours the better thinker/handreader/player like.. sooooo much its sick really. u can just destroy people when u play deep with them if they dont know how to adjust and shit

like, just look at my 4bet stats

great summer, +17k$ in june/july from starsbonuses + heater at eu sites and now 13k$ in august.

also i cant say enough about how good it feels to be single for once. like, there is so much freetime to do other stuff with, like grinding sc2 =D smoke pot and hang out w friends.

much love

again, add me RataN//713 on bnet and say hi

WSOP Pics/TR, 150k VPP this month, SNE Prop Bet
   Joeingram1, August 29

SNE

Whats up guys, I finally booked some action on me achieving SNE this year. I bet 5k to win 7.5k with BraveJayHawk from 2p2 forums, have known him for awhile and he decided at the beginning of the month when I was at 290k VPP that I couldn't get it done. I also booked a 1k bet with Hodge05 on who can get to SNE first. He has a prop where he can only play nl100/200 to achieve SNE this year so we figured the 50k VPP lead he has over me was fair since I am playing anything/everything.

Just finished up an 8k VPP session where I finally made it to the positive for the month at PLO

PLO graph this month

At my low point on the graph I decided it would be good to actually try to learn the game. I read 3 PLO books, read alot of stuff on 2p2, and watched a few videos. Combined with decided to not 24 table, I started to win more. I was overplaying alot of my hands before, going nuts with AAxx with the xx usually not working well together/unsooted, 3betting way to fucking much, and a bunch of other issues. I feel like I am getting alot better every session and hopefully can continue to profit while I put in a high volume.

Game 7 Lakers vs Celtics

I don't think I ever posted about this but I went to Game 7 of the NBA finals. Me, the gf, SNE prop bettor Ballcup, his gf decided to go up to LA from San Diego kinda last minute and get tix for the game. We ended up paying around 4.4kish for tix that were in the very last round/center court of the stadium. The line for the game was Lakers -6 iirc so naturally we bet the amount we paid for the tickets on the game. We were sweating it pretty hard but luckily we were victorious and essentially freerolled Game 7. So glorious lol, pics from that are at the bottom of the blog

WSOP

This is long overdue but have just been doing everything else but blogging/vegas ended really horribly so I didn't really want to think about it. I went out there for 7 days around june 18-25. I loaded up my M3 and drove out there with my girlfriend Rachael and we stayed with my friend BW07507 at Pallazzo. It was alot of fun! While I was there I checked out a few poker houses that people had out there, I was kinda sad that I didn't get a house out there to stay and hang out and I am planning on 100 percent doing it next year.

Some highlights of the trip include going to my fave vegas restaurant Cut at Pallazzo like 3-4 times. I faded the CCRs for the trip everytime except once which left me with a 700 dollar bill. My birthday was on June 24th and we went out to dinner at Craft Steakhouse at MGM and then went to the country place to hang out with like 25 poker players for the night(forget the name of the place).

Also I was able to play in a little private game at the Hard Rock, my friend Notontilt09 invited me over there to play some 1/2 NL/PLO with him, Nanonoko, LttlBstrd (WSOP event 6 winner), Ryan from pokernewsstrategy.com, and Nascar_1949/kangis. Was a really fun time and I think I profited from the game, with help from me one outting Nano on the river after getting it all in on the turn in PLO. Obv we ran it twice so I only chopped the pot lol, Nano runs so fucking good vs me online and appearntly offline as well. MBN

I will just post all the pics now so you can see all the online poker guys by there faces. I think most of the guys are mainly PokerStars people so sorry FTP players lol

Bad at Poker, Good at everything else.
   JonnyCosMo, August 26

Been getting killed in poker since moving into this new place. I swear our internet is cursed. Haven't been playing very well thou so need to fix that. That wasn't the point of this blog thou, I wanted to update and tell everyone that I just beat ElkY in SC2 3 times in a row. I has replays to prove it too!

Ok Ok, and now for epic hands that was played at Palomar a few weeks ago. The game is 20/40 mixed with 5/10 big bet and the rotation of games was Badugi, Triple Draw Deuce to Seven, PLO, and NL Hold'em. Villan in this hand we will refer to from now on as "Pizza Tom". He owns a local pizza shop in San Diego, and has recently picked up poker as a hobby. Note: He has played less than a week of poker before coming in on this particular day.

Hand #1: ($20/$40 Badugi)
First orbit of Badugi and Pizza Tom has never played the game in his life, so we tell him the rules are pretty simple: "You draw 3 times, You want low cards, you want 1 card of every suit, ace is low, and bam you have a badugi!" Pot is 5 way to the first draw, and everyone is drawing atleast 1 card to some that are drawing 3. Oh Badugi is so fun! With one draw left there is about 16 big bets ($640 ish) in the pot with 3 players still left, one being Pizza Tom. Two players draw and Pizza Tom stands pat. First player leads river for $40. Pizza Tom raises to $80, both players fold. Pizza Tom rolls over the 4c 4h 4s Kd and is like "Badugi!" as he scoops massive pot. LOL

Hand #2: ($5/$10 Pot Limit Omaha)
Gordo16 (whos played an extensive amount of PLO / Mixed games, prolly one of the best mixed players in SD) has been the most active on the PLO rounds since he got himself a little stuck. Finally he gets in a heads-up pot with Pizza Tom who once again is still learning the ins and outs of PLO. They get into this one hand on the river the board reads Q-J-7-4-2 with no possible flushes. Pizza Tom has 77XX hand, and Gordo16 has QQXX. Pizza Tom checks river and Gordo pots for $3k. Pizza Tom makes the most ridiculous soul read of a fold after like 10 seconds of thinking!?! Gordo shows him the top set to let him know he was right. This hand sets up the final most epic hand....

Hand #OMG EPIC LOL: ($5/$10 Pot Limit Omaha)
I'll write this hand from Ryan's point of view (Palomar regular who was sitting next to Pizza Tom, and was helping him with the rules to each game. Pizza Tom was showing Ryan is hand each time) Pizza Tom raises UTG to $40, Gordo16 3bets to $150 to try and isolate him. Someone flat calls, and action gets back around to Pizza Tom who repots to like $560. Gordo is sitting deep with him and is already thinking "Oh baby, time to crack aces" as he flats the 4bet. Cold caller folds. When the flop came down 2c 5h 6s, Pizza Tom now leans over and shows Ryan his hand: 8c 8s 8d 4d and asks "Wait so I can only use two cards?" Ryan is like "Yes you can use only 2 of those cards". Pizza Tom proceeds to be like "Oh shit" (as he realizes now that he doesn't have three of a kind 8's) then checks to Gordo. Gordo fires $700 and Pizza Tom doesn't waste too much time before calling. Turn comes 3d so board reads 2c 5h 6s 3d, Pizza Tom checks and Gordo pots it all-in for $2500. Pizza Tom looks back at his hand and again doesn't waste much time before saying "I call, I have a straight" Gordo says "Ug, you must have the AA4X" Pizza Tom then rolls over his 8884 thinking that his lone 4 was making him a straight. Gordo just stares in horror as he rolls over the 2s7h9hJs to see that Pizza Tom had just a pair of 8's which were good at that point (not to mention the 3 blockers to Gordo's straight draw, and 84 to take away the 7 as a 2pair out lol). River bricks and Pizza Tom ships massive PLO pot with pair of 8's. "That would happen to me" say Gordo after the hand as he proceeds to play every hand in the badugi orbit before tilt leaving.

Moral of the story, don't bluff people who don't know the rules to the game

Moral of the story #2, play more live pokers

New Place, back on the grind!
   JonnyCosMo, August 19

First off, note that I haven't had internet for the past week. I wrote this on my offline time so it's a couple days out dated:

Not even going to get into trying to update my blog more. When playing mostly live pokers, your time spent on the computer drops dramatically. Add that in with the release of Starcraft 2 (which is clearly a mandatory 2-3 hours of wasted time per day), and a little bit of the online poker grind here and there, I basically don't find myself with the time I use to have to update this thing.

Just came off of an awful WSOP. Played the $10/$25 at the Rio for cash games, and ended up getting creamed for ~$30kish over the week I played. Got the chance to play one of the craziest cash games ever with RaSZi where a $10/$25 turned into a $10/25/50/100. Weeeeeeeee! Although I ended up being pretty card dead during that particular session. On another day, I had probably my worst single orbit of live poker ever where I flopped a set 3 times and lost all 3 pots. Lucky for me, none of those pots where over 200bbs. I also played 3 tournaments, one of those $1k shit shows where I lasted about 2 hours then got 2 outted. The $2.5k 6-max where I lasted til 11:30pm before getting knocked out by Jeff Shulman in a sick hand where I river a set and he binks a straight . Finally the Main Event, I played on Day 3 and drew Table 1 Seat 2. Was it a sign? Table 1 Seat 1 happened to be Theo Tran, and our table didn't break all day. We had a pretty soft table for the most part and I ended the 1st day with 77k. Day 2a did not go as smoothly as I wanted, as I was working off of one hour of sleep from the night before for god knows what reason (maybe I was too excited to play or something?). My stack went on the monkey coaster for the majority of the day, swinging between 40k and 180k. Ironically, if I played my good solid tight game I probably would have ended with a pretty variance free 100k. Instead I ended the day with 125k after several hands where I just went bat shit insane and ran good. Going into Day 3 I was pretty well rested and took an adderol to make sure I would stay focused. I drew Annie Duke's table and we had the cameras around the table for the majority of the day. I played just about as good as I wanted to play and built up to 210k in chips at the 1k/2k level. Then I ran TT into JJ for a 70bb pot. The very next hand I flopped the world with AcQx on a Jc-Tc-3c board and bricked vs JT in a 80bb pot. Finally I reshipped my last 18bb's with A9s from the bb vs btn open and btn woke up with JJ so I was out 2 orbits after having a massive stack. That was pretty heart breaking, but the good news is that I might get my 15 seconds of fame as I played some weird hand with Annie Duke and the ESPN cameras were there and took down my name so... crossing my fingers!

In other news, just finished with a year of living in La Jolla (northern San Diego) less than a block away from the beach, and it definitely was an awesome experience. Going into the year, I thought winning money in the online pokers was a myth but I learned (or basically relearned) what it takes to be an online grinder and so hopefully in these upcoming months I will have a winning PTR on atleast one site :-P

I just moved to a condo in the south side of the Hillcrest area of San Diego (between Pacific Beach and Downtown). Yes, it is the "gay-friendly" area. It just so happens that everyone that I've met in our condo building so far has been gay. Make fun of it all you want! We got the biggest condo in the building with a baller ass 270 degree view of San Diego for about half the price as it normally would be just because it's the "gay" area of town. New roommates: GoGators86, A2Steaksauce, Clayton_27. Only downside = when walking around the building or outside in the Hillcrest area with one of my roommates we are probably mistaken as a gay couple. The upsides = We are closer to a lot of the other poker players down here who mostly live downtown. Great location to pretty much everything (10 minutes to the beach, 5 minutes to downtown, 10 minutes to Petco Park, 10 minutes to Qualcomm Stadium, 10 minutes to PB bars, 5 minutes to golf course / driving range). And this...

moving on up!
   longple, August 17

a small brag in change of whine for once.

been moving up stakes lately and have been catching a nice heater on this months shot on 25/50

(SEK, swedish crowns)

25/50 in swedish crowns is like something between 3/6 and 5/10$ and 85kSEK is ~11500$

nice to say the least! mostly its been 2-3 tabling some SH and HU when the bumhunters leave the tables and stuff, standard, alot of 3 handed.

its all played 200bb deep as its a standard buy in on the site i play at so the dynamic switches alot too like in all other deep games, like 200bb is the new 100bb standard AK vs JJ flips pre and stuff (even if there is no ante) the games play very aggro.

overall the month ive played like 15k hands or something, kinda breakevenish on the lower stakes 10/20 most played, kinda like 1/2-2/4$) and dumped alot on omaha

but feels good, last month shot on 25/50 didnt end to well, ran alot under EV and ended down like 10 buy ins on the shot, so it feels very good to have been crushing so far.

the games dont run to often but i try to play them as often as they run since its a small network. but mostly there is like 1-4 games running 24/7 so its np.

still up a decent amount on the month, and as i had a monstermonth last month aswell im feeling very good atm overall!

have been playing alot alot of sc2, have cleared the whole campaign in brutalmode for the sweet kerrigan avatar, but mostly grinding 1on1 diamond league. getting better and better but since i didnt play much in the beta im behind the topplayers by far still.

but overall, very happy dude overall, just got single for the first time since i was 16 (22 now) and it feels good, started training again and playing sc2 + moving up stakes catching heaters is always nice.

no more 24 tabling depression whine from me.

longple = happy

gl dudes msg me on EU RataN//713 to play some sc2 games

24k Hand PLO session, most hands ever in session?
   Joeingram1, August 08

O man, it has been awhile since my last blog but this is a great time to post one before I get to sleep, will post Vegas TR with a bunch of pics of fellow internet poker players in the upcoming days.

I decided August 1st I was going to go for SNE, i had about 299k vpps at the time, this is the session I just played, 16 hours straight 24 tabling 100plo, made 16k VPPS and total for the day did 34k hands with 22.5k vpp

Now sitting at 61k vpp for the month

I was playing 20-50bb tables for first 10 hours till enough stopped running then added in 40bb tables buying in for 50bb there as well, so the 50 dollars is a buyin for me

lol fml need sleep

going from 24 tabling to gameselecting higher stakes works out good so far for me, obviously i run like jesus good

but found lots of fish and focused alot, sometimes like 1-2 tabling for hours

up ~18k$ in july so far with the stars milestone before i left + the rakeback/tourney cash for about 3k€

been splitting my roll over 3 different sites atm

PLO etc.
   ToT)MidiaN(, July 06

Hello!

Last blog I talked about starting PLO and so far it's been going really well in terms of results. I've quickly moved up from $0.10/$0.25 to $1/$2 so far, winning at a nice winrate, although I've been running super hot at $1/$2 obviously. The game is really complex though and I'm still not very confident in my play despite the results thus far. One reason that I know my game is still very weak is because MiPwnYa keeps owning me and instantly sits in to play me HU whenever I join a new table and he's online, I feel like he may have added me to some buddy list as I've already spewed like $1k to him which is like 5 buyins at $0.50/$1 and 2.5 at $1/$2 despite winning a $1k pot at $1/$2 vs him. ! I'm getting better though and am sure I will continue to do so, hopefully I'm already good enough to beat $1/$2 and can continue learning and building my bankroll back up from there.

Here are stats so far:

Sidenote: One thing I love about PLO is how many VPPs you make, I'm not even close to Supernova and we're halfway through the year but it's definitely possible for me to get there if I'm playing $1/$2 PLO or above, even if I don't play that many hands a month.

On another note, I'm leaving Korea on August 17th. I'm going to be staying in New Jersey for a month, during my stay I'll be hanging out with the gf and her friends, many of whom I've already met when they visited Korea. I'm also going to be taking a trip out to Toronto to meet some nerds that we both know from World of Warcraft. Naturally I'm looking forward to sampling many "bad" (good) American foods, I', expect to put on a lot of weight and potentially have a heart attack, so let's hope I run good and don't die. Just before I leave, on September 8th, I'm gonna celebrate my birthday, so far I don't have any plans on what I'm going to be on that day, but I'm not planning on getting too hungover as I'm going to see Katatonia and Swallow the Sun in New York the following day. A few days after that I'm going to be returning to England "for good", where I'll go back to live with my family. I'm looking to buy a house with my parents and go 50/50 on it, so they've been looking around at houses and they like this one:

Whether we move into this house or some other house I'm planning on making the garage a home gym so I can work out without the need to go to a gym because I'm simply to lazy to travel there each day, particularly since the gym is like 4 miles away and I don't drive. I've tried to get into working out several times in the past but it never really stuck, I've gained a decent bit of weight during my stay in Korea and will obviously gain even more during my stay in the States so I'm remotivated and I feel like with a home gym I'll be way more likely to stick to some kind of schedule since it's no effort at all to just go into the garage and work out. On that note, if anyone has any recommendations as to what I should get, and potentially where I should get it from, I'd appreciate it!

That's all for now, thanks for reading.
