SHAQ - NBA - EXAMS
  kNkiDDa, Feb 11 2008

Spent a lot of time in the last couple of days watching NBA games. I am really excited to see Shaq getting dressed in a Suns jersey and dunk a couple of times with the help of Nash. Hopefully it works out! Shaq is just such an amazing personality, you cannot be really against him.

Though I see the Lakers/Spurs/Boston as the prime candidates to win it all... who knows?

For the next 4-5 days there won't be too much time to play poker, maybe I will squeeze in a 500 hand session here and there but no 1k session, I really have to put in hours in front of books and study hard...

Like i said I would, i played about 400 hands and made a decent profit. Will study for the rest of the day. Here are some interesting hands:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=382175
That is against a 50vpip moron. My turn call was actually pretty bad, expressed odds of 1-3,5 and he has about 55$ $ left. Odds for me to boat up 10,5-1. So even if I had hit my boat, this play was -EV. His 50% vpip convinced me to call...

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=382176
This guy was a "wannabe" TAG. 20% VPIP but called with a lot of possibly dominated hands in position, or bad hands for multiway pots. UTG UBER nit raises, the TagTard coldcalls and I call for set value, since RR a 8% nit makes absolutely no sense. Flop looks kind of awkward but the check kind of told me that UTG had to have an AK sort of hand. I barrelled the turn, retard calls and then fires a real nice value bet on the river which I call. Should have folded.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=382181
Limped pot, i repop his donk bet real strong to kind of conceal my FD, then he calls. I hit my draw and bet weakish to induce an aggro reaction. He flatcalls. I fire a big barrel on the river. Villain might think that I was afraid on the turn but him calling that fear was unnecessary... In retrospect I should have fired a 10$ Value bet... How to get more value out of that hand??

Thx 4 reading.

Huge Comeback!!
  kNkiDDa, Feb 10 2008

I sat down, logged onto my Poker Provider and started playing NL50. Some guy +2 on my left was making total moronic plays( going all in randomly, repoping with gutshots or total air). Then i pick up this hand:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=381621
I figure that he has a big load of BS or 99 / 88 / 77 here and repop him. Couple of hands before he played a monster very slowly so i snap called him since he had to have a medium strength hand which was beat by my TT.

2 Hands later i get 33 reloaded with 100BB and call his preflop raise and spike my set on a very very dry board.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=381623
Totally frustrated me that he owned me twice with a 4-outer. I was -110$ then.
After that I pick up couple of QJs, KQs, AKs/AKo and raise in position and get either repopped or hit nothing on the flop... Then comes this hand
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=381618
I was kind of semi tilt because of what had been happening, He surely could have made a play on me with a weaker hand since I a) had been raising a lot b)lost two HUGE pots in a row to bad beats

I took a break for about 4-5 hours, went playing a little basketball and watched 'The bucket list'. A very well made movie with 2 Academy Award winners Jack Nicholson & Gordon Freeman. It is about two patients who have terminal cancer and decide not to wait for death in a white robe at the hospital but instead decide to live their last months to their fullest... pretty baller .

Had lunch and go to playing poker again
A complete moron tries to slowplay on the turn with his straight. I get my flush+Payout
http://www.liquidpoker.net/mytlnet/myhand.php?view=item&id=381619

Made huge comeback with solid value bets on the river, some squeeze plays, a lucky KKvsAA and other payouts:

Did not make it to the green side today, but I was very happy about getting to the break even point.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Let's talk some basketball! Right now the Miami Heat are playing the Lakers on Sopcast. The addition of Marion into their lineup not only saved them the huge contract of Shaq but brought them on of the best players to complement Dwayne Wade. Right now their are taking too many jumpers and not taking care of the ball to much but it is going to be exciting in Miami in the next couple of years - to bad that the Lane to the finals will be clogged by LeBron & Garnett for the next couple of years - if not even for Wades' entire career by James.

It is going to be very interesting how Shaq will mesh with the Suns. He can be a real force against opposing big men. Especially the combo of Stoudemire&O'Neal will get Suns opponents into some real foul trouble...

Shaq just looks SO f*kkin' old in this picture. Hopefully he has some Diesel left in the tank!

Kobe/Bynum/Gasol/Fisher/Radmanovic. How can you potentially stop them? If they stay healthy, they will be the main contenders for the future. Really reminds you of the Chicago Bulls, only that they are more talented, bigger, longer. Maybe a little less efficient on defense. The arms race in the West is the best that could possibly happening to an avid BBall fan like me!

Restart
  kNkiDDa, Feb 09 2008

Here are the facts:
Party Poker gave me 70$ for free! I played some NL10 and turned that into 300$ in one night. Then started NL25 and so forth over the last 2 weeks and now I am @ NL50. I have been destroying the tables on a very juicy site. Not a hole lot of aggressiveness needed to succeed - maybe on NL100.
Since I am back at the tables I want to set myself some goals:

#1 Only play 4-6 tables whenever I play and FOCUS.
#2 Get back to NL100 with a 30+ BI bankroll.
#3 play 30k hands over the next 30 days(starting today).
#4 Post on a regular basis on this blog.

This time I will really push myself because discussing hands and so forth is the only way to GET better in the long run and since I have nobody to talk with(about poker ) in my rL I will stick with LP!

Poker surely will be the main topic here but I will also discuss University life, NBA basketball and some literature(I study Business+ Eng/Am literature).

So lets start with today, here is my performance:

Here are some interesting hands:

I am not really sure if a third barrel is appropriate here. I figured that I could represent a flush or JJ/AT and get low pocket pairs to fold. Board paired and the river brought another flush card so no sense in firing again...

I think I have made the correct play on the turn(ignoring the showdown). This guy was 70% vpip and his turn bet just looked so damn weak that I had to punish him. Maybe trying for some pot control next time around...

Villain was very capable of making a squeeze play since he had solid TAG stats. Looked like a weak squeeze play, but turned out to be a pot feeder. What to do in those kinds of spots? I 4 bet and he shoved, felt comitted and called anyway.

Looking at this hand, it makes me want to puke. I would have folded to a river bet. Thanked the gods above for those donks having both a flushdraw and me having a king of diamonds - thus taking away couple of outs.

Overall I feel that I give boatload of value on the river when I play... ned to work on that. Well thats about it. Tell me whether I should post the full hands here or only a link directing it to a hand history page...
I will go to sleep now - tomorrow will be another day. I will talk a little bit about NBA Basketball and other stuff.

How to put an end of this?
  kNkiDDa, Jul 15 2007

Hello guys. Haven't posted for a while.
Last time I posted I was a 4,5BB/100 Winner at the NL100 tables over a proper sample size. That was about 3 months ago.
Since then i just hit a brick wall.

Grinded my way up from NL10 to NL100 in about 5 months playing up to 45k hands per month usually with a winrate above 4BB/100. Sometimes i had 6-8 BI swings but the thing happening with me right now is just ridiculous.

about 30k hands are missing as they are logged on my laptop but they are at -1,88 BB /100 at NL50 and -4BB/100 at NL100.
Lost most of my initial Bankroll even while moving down in limits.

I had put aside some money for my trip to the US this summer but i had to use it to refill my bankroll. The thing concerning me the most is that I am not a candidate who tilts away when i lose a big pot. Used to play a 22/16 style prior to my downswing. Its just frustrating...

Already moved down to NL25 although my BR would allow me to still play NL50 but i just cant WIN a single big pot...

I just wanna kill myself

Todays results
  kNkiDDa, Apr 06 2007

If it wasn't for the bonus i got from PP it would ve been an average day. But because of the bonus its been a good day =). Finally won some money on NL100, not because I made a great read or something but i managed to hit my first set on that Limit + Payout. French donk decided to go broke in an unraised pot with bottom two.... vive la france.

Completely recovered yesterdays losses which i suffered with myth. Tomorrow will be next session. Expect me to play my usual A game but still get coolers and sick beats... myth has a baaaaad curse around him hahaha!

Had two 1k hand sessions today. First one was before I went to the movies - the other after. I shipped another 500$ onto PP cuz they gave me a 20% up to 100$ bonus(After insisting cuz they dont seem to give reloads to players who are tearing up the tables as I do). First session was just a f*cking waste of time. Made 1 BI after 1,2k hands.

Then i went to the movies and watched "300". Awesome movie. It was everything I expected and hoped for--a couple of hours of carnage. The hot queen even inspired me to go home and have great sex with gf. Oracle girl was burning hot too! I just love fair readheads:

Every woman in that movie who happens to be in front of the camera actually has erected nipples... Quite funny!

Overall i drank 5 beer before+in+after the cinema. Caused hell of a noise in the cinema because I got soaked up into the bloodbath >_<. Got home, ate alot then took a 30 min nap and played a session. The booz had quite an effect on me - but not negatively...showed some balls and repopped couple of donk leads. Overall played my B+ Game and made some bucks.

+400$ today. ship it.

Coaching Sessions with Myth
  kNkiDDa, Apr 05 2007

Ya heard right.
Had 2 session up until now. Before i met myth i was running constant 12BB/100 on 25k hands. First session and this happened:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/169642

Then this:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/169641 :boring

And this:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/169640

Finally:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/169637

Other small suckouts and beats are not worh mentioning lol...

Just a little excerpt of what happened after first words spoken with myth. So fellas: next time you actually talk to him make sure you got some garlic and holy water around you - cuz hes got LVL suckout aura hehe.

Well we are down about 3 Buy ins in the Sessions. Playing by myself has been running at 9BB/100.
Regarding my play Myth said that he was surprised how solid I play preflop and postflop(majority of time). Need to fix my winrate with medium hands and cutting the losses with them parallel.

Bought myself a new 20,1" screen - LG2000CN. Now I can play up to 8 Tables... Prefer 6 though .

Besides than that - home alone - invited some people over and had a drinking festival. Been good.
Hopefully Myth can get rid of his curse!

First entry
  kNkiDDa, Apr 01 2007

Greetings dear LP.net members. I'm kNkiDDa.
My poker career started in last year september. Had 50$ free money so i grinded the NL5 / NL10 / NL25 until i had 1K - that was end of september. Then i went to the US until december. Obviously i took a break during that span.

Back in Germany I started playing again on NL50. Hit a bad bad downswing and didn't make any progress BR-wise. Decided to join Cardrunners and took privat lessons with a coach. Since then I am running at around 15BB/100 for my last 33k hands. Skillwise I am killing the NL50 limit. Thanks goes to my coach who opened my eyes and showed me what aggro play really means.

Opened up my game from nitty 13/6/1,5 to 23/21/6 thanks to my coach. Didn't have coaching for like 2 weeks and slowly but surely returning to get nitty. Coach will be back soon.

Before poker i played BW on pretty high level. WC3, too. Around Top 150 Solo ladder on Northrend. I think i can make the transition to poker. And my results for the last 1,5 months speak for themselves. Advancing to NL100 in the next couple of days.

Made a coaching deal with vital myth. He will coach me 6-8h per week for a complete month. There are dozens of leaks in my game that really need fixing until I step up any more Limits. I hope that I will be NL400 by the end of summer or even before that and reach a winrate of 5BB/100 on each limit that I play.

If i hadn't had to cash out because of some f*cking dentist bills and stuff I would already be grinding NL100! Now that i gathered around 25 BIs everythings gonna work out and my killing spree from NL50 will make its transition to the bigger games.
So lets see how the next couple of months will work out.

Those are my results for the last 3 days:

Sorry about this chaotic first post. Next ones will be way better.
