You might recall in my last post, that I have been complaining a lot about 10nl FR on Pokerstars.

Since then, I have been playing/running considerably well, and despite being incredibly busy, i made $300.

School's being pretty harsh on me too, and I got accepted into the school badminton team, which takes up 3 hours after school. Naturally, I don't have a lot of time to play poker.

I've been talking to various people here and there, and gained a new confidence.

:::MY PLAN:::

As of now, my bankroll stands at $600.
I will start to play 25nl FR from today, and start 25nl 6max at $800.

Hopefully, I will run well and I'll play 50nl 6-max consistently within a few months.

Oh, and if anyone is willing to teach me 6-max play over msn, I'd be truly grateful.

Thanks

Unprofitable
  goodguysm, Feb 18 2007

I strongly feel that 10nl is no longer profitable by playing a nitty setmining style.

I've been setmining for the past 100k hands, and I've made almost nothing.
My BR is at 370.

I'm going to start nitting up on the .02/.05 tables.

I tried changing my style, then going back to sethunting, but it hasn't worked.

I just played a 1k hand session, and all that's happened was TTT vs KKK, KK vs AA,
I didn't get paid off once, in the 5 sets i've hit.
I got paid of exactly once, pf allin with Kk vs A2 -_-

There are not enough loose players on 10nl FR.

I will try to build my BR on .02/.05,

Any ideas?

EDIT: And my basic game isn't that bad, I beat .01/.02 with a winrate of about 10bb/100hands
I went straight to 10nl FR, and it hasn't been going well since then.

need help
  goodguysm, Feb 15 2007

Hi

My BR was at 480 two days ago, now it's at 360.
I was playing purely on 10nl FR.

I know I need help improving my game.

I am very determined to beat 10nl FR, but so far, things haven't been able to "click".

I've played about 100k hands on 10nl FR, went from a $600 high to 360.

If anyone is willing to help me basically relearn tight, ABC style 10nl FR, i'd be very thankful.

For now, I will take a break from poker. I feel that I cannot win with my current mind set. I will start playing once I feel i can win.

HU is ez
  goodguysm, Feb 14 2007

I was kind of bored of poker today,
and I didn't want to play any starcraft, since it would consume an hour or two of my hw time.
So I decided to play one of the $5 4-man Heads Up SNG.

I've had very little success in SNG's in the past.
I won this one, got $20.
*yay*

I decided to play a 2-man HU sng, for $5.
I won that one too.

I played in another 4-man HU SNG, and ended up winning that.

$35 in profit.

I haven't been doing too well in 10nl FR lately, so this was definitely pleasing.

Coincidence?
  goodguysm, Feb 06 2007

Here's a graph of my two sessions of the day.
Funny, each time I start a session, I'm up about 4 buyins in 500 hands, but by the end of the session, it is reduced to dust.

weird swing
  goodguysm, Feb 06 2007

Here's what's been happening since my last blog.

I was running extremely well, then since I posted my last blog, 10nl 6max hasn't been going so well.

I decided to go back to FR and just nutpeddle like everyone else.

I've been getting a lot of bad luck.

My BR has been moving consistently along with how my luck has been running. Of course, I am spewing and making bad plays once in a while, but as soon as luck returns my way, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to beat 10nl FR easily.

I'm planning on being over rolled for 25nl FR. Maybe 700-800, then I'll return to 6max.

Wish me luck =D

sick run
  goodguysm, Jan 21 2007

Hi

I had around 320 at the end of my last blog.
Since then, i've been running crazily good, or i've finally developed a style for 6max.

I've made 180 over the past 3 days, including 1 day where i lost a bit.

I'm feeling pretty good about my game so far. Although I got sucked out quite a fair bit, I made a few suckouts also.

I'd appreciate anyone who would give me a few pointers every time I post a hand. They really do help.

Here's a graph of my BR over the past three days.

Today :(
  goodguysm, Jan 17 2007

I started off with 355 today.

Maybe I didn't play as well as I should; maybe it was just a series of bad beats.

Whatever it was, it caused my bankroll to go down to 315.

It's kind of hard to believe for most of you that losing is possible on micro stakes, but it's happening often.

-_-;;

It's very boring, so I'm going back to playing 6max 10nl.
I'll learn more also.

I'm noob
  goodguysm, Jan 16 2007

I'm a newbie.

I started playing mid November 2006 with a $30 bankroll.
Through the help of a few lp members, I was able to learn how to play the .01/.02 games.

I did horribly.

For the next three days or so, the $30 in my account turned into a mere $9. This was around the time of the Anytime vs Nada finals, I remember playing during the game.

Anyway, through a magnificent stroke of luck, I was able to turn it back into $40. Through many weird swings, I was finally able to master 2nl. Yay

I continued to do decently when I reached 10nl. I had a $240 br when I switched. I did ok for the first few minutes, up about 2 buyins.
Then wtf?

One of the stars' anniversary hands happened to land on my table! I was it with a pair of jacks, and my br was boosted $250 to about $520.

That's when it happened.

I've been slow ever since. I went up to $600, then started losing a bit.
A friend recommended 6max; it was a lot more fun and I seemed to be more in control of the game.
Through a series of bad beats, my br went down to $310.

I was kind of pissed, but whatever. It happens.

I took a 4 day break
I started 10nl FR again a few days ago. I'm doing better.

I'm planning on playing fullring while I continue to move up.

PLEASE!!!

I need help on my game.
Whenever I post a hand, please feel free to criticize it, because I have much to learn. Every hand I post here is posted because I'm unsure of what to do.

HELP ME

Wish me luck !

I'll try to keep track of my progress here
