October so far..
  RaiZ, Oct 21 2009

- Online :
Running ok so far. Stopped to bluff cauz it was just pure -ev. Even though i could see SOOO many fish everywhere but i can't make them fold when i don't really have a made hand. Serves me right.

- Live :
Nothing interesting really, played a lot more tennis than usual, i think i've more or less the same level as raszi. Tbh it's hard to judge because every country has their own rank system. Played my first match of the year and lost already, 3 sets. Didn't really like the way it's been played, even though i won the 2nd set, it was my worst set of the match because i didn't find it fun to play "safe and let him do unforced errors".

Still seeking a GF, hard to find someone who would be willing to understand ur handicap (i'm deaf) blablabla. I could join a deaf community, but i've been raised differently and now it's really hard to "join" because they are sometimes in their own world, and i don't want to talk with only deaf ppl. It's hard to explain. Whatever.

Poker wise, i've played my first "real" poker with real ppl (except obv with friends) and i've been running really good so far. The structure is like 20$ for 10 000 play money chips. Each wednesdays you start with 1000 chips with 5/10 blinds and the goal is to get the most (obv) by the end of the year. You can rebuy 1000$ chips only twice per night (to avoid allin on every hands)
Played 2 times : first i got to 5850 chips. It was my very first time playing with unknown ppl and my hands were shaking a little. It was pretty fun and a good experience.
2nd : got to 10 000 chips or 9960 exactly. It was huge because there were only 30 ppl playing 3 tables so 10k is like crushing half of them and all in only 3 hours. Made some sick call, like JJ vs TT on a 53823 3 colors board where i spotted some weakness not only because of his betting ways but also because he was somewhat hesitating whenever i 3betted him. And when he went allin on the river, i knew exactly that i was ahead and then won 5000 chips.

I don't know, maybe that's because i'm really deaf and thus i'm observing ppl a lot about their betting patterns and tells and everything, but maybe i should try to take a shot a some live casino ?
I think i'll try it once i get a more healthier bankroll.

Ok that's about it for now. Hope you enjoyed it !
Untill then !

Pretty frustrating...
  RaiZ, Oct 19 2009

When you spend like 1 hours to win only 1 buyin and then lose all of it in 1 hand, you say to yourself "ok no problem, shit happens" but when you spend like 4 hours and still getting this shit, and don't move up, you can't help but wondering if you're playing it right... And then you lose the confidence...
You know the graph goes like this

Argh.

Today's session.
  RaiZ, Oct 13 2009

Because nobody liked my nl5 shot, i decided to grind like a robot in nl2.
NewBsaibot may be right, i don't like the way nl2 is played, i guess that's why i get frustrated and/or busto everytime i try to play this limit.

Only 4600 hands and already 5bi under EV. Not to mention the rake which is really hard to grind...
My pfr is low compared to the vpip because i'm so tired of raising smalls pairs in FR NL2 since i won't get any value from them even if i try to Cbet, or even raising them in late position (unless they all folded to me which is VERY uncommon).
Feel free to ask if you want to review some of my hands.

NL5 shot.
  RaiZ, Oct 12 2009

First of all i'd like to thank you for all the support from my previous blog. It was really appreciated.
I followed Fayth advice : i was running at 5 bb/100 which was a real pain in the ass though. But i try to follow the bankroll management so i didn't have any choice.
But after i got 40$, i decided definitely to take a shot a nl5 and drop down whenever i'd lose 1 buyin.
So far i didn't lose a single buyin. But i guess it's because i'm running good ? Whatever feel pretty ok for 1 buyin shot.
This time i tried to play with my own style.
Enough talk here are the graphs.

Hope this will continue ! >_<

Best way to get chips from a lagtards?
  RaiZ, Oct 06 2009

Right now i'm on his left, but i'm never getting goods cards...
I was wondering what i should do since he 3 barrels MOST of the time and sometimes get the right card on the river ?
So far the best way i found was to play calling station and when i think i've almost the nuts i 3 bets. Sometimes he fold but sometimes he calls with mostly one pair..
I'm really confused here...

By calling station i mean : call and see if i've top pair good kicker at least on flop otherwise fold. 3bet or 4bet shove isn't an option because he'd only fold or call with AK AQ++ at the very least and QQ++

Edit : stats of the villain : 81/52 AF : 4,4 flop 4,4 turn 3.6 river 6.3...

2 annoying bugs from lp
  RaiZ, Oct 01 2009

I don't know, i thought it would be fixed by the time we saw it but i guess i may be the only one to have it ?
Well 2 bugs : whenever you go to see your post by clicking my blog > my posts, we end up entering in the first page of the thread. Not the page where we posted our message.
And the 2nd bug : whenever i want to search for something with content or both title and content's options checked it goes like this :

Hope it helps ?

Donktard...
  RaiZ, Sep 16 2009

Oh god. Just lost all my br to some stupid sh.t. I was just getting jealous everytime ppl wins with like middle pair and getting like 1+ buyin on every session with 80% vpip.
Long story short : just lost my last 5$ by calling river with K high only. Yeah you read it right.

Pretty fucked up eh ?

Another hand.

I suck.
