So I recently finished my deposit bonus on Pokerstars, so I transfered my bankroll to FTP to get a bonus there. I play 5NL, and have noticed FTP doesn't have that big of a player base right now, but did before Black Friday from what I hear. For example at peak times there's maybe 15-20 tables going at 6max 5NL and on average maybe 8-10. I was just wondering what the traffic was like pre Black Friday, especially at the stake I play. Just curious.

i'm going to argentina for a few months starting in july and noticed the difference between the official exchange rate and the "blue dollar" rate is really huge: http://ambito.com/economia/mercados/monedas/dolar/

from what i've been able to find, it seems like the black market exchange is semi-standard and more or less out in the open. but being a tourist with mediocre spanish i'm obviously a little worried about getting scammed.

anyone on LP from argentina or been there recently who has any advice on this stuff? the different rates of exchange are kind of crazy.

Anyways,

The previous post has been up for 24H and didnt get much interest. Only 5 people interested in some pieces of my self. Unfortunately the H component didnt get sold fast enough and didnt hit the quota I wanted to play.

The fact of the matter is, I really wanted to play the H events along side the M, as you know I have to wake up anytime between 1am-7am for these tournaments and I just dont see the point of waking up at 1am to play a $215 tournament with only me owning 50% of the winnings if I cant play the $2100 along side it.

If there are some serious stakers out there who still believes in me, try and contact me on skype to discuss. But as of now my plan is to play all of the M on my own dime, so atleast when I wake up in the dead of night it'll be somewhat worth it. But if there big interest in my H tourneys, specially juicy field ones like the Mainevent i'd be interested in selling up to 80% for those at a rate of 1.1:1.

TLDR: only want to sell action in M if I can actually play the H tournaments on the same day, and unfortunately there wasnt enough interest!

hi,
I'm working on my heart beat rate since one month while playing poker.
I have a tool to mesure it that I stole to my grand mother (she never uses it anyway). I'm doing this because I hate having my heart racing when playing a hand, I find it very stupid especially since I play micro stakes to rebuild my br atm.
One month ago when I first tried I peaked at 170 bpm during the session with an average of 85bpm.
Now I still peak at ~170bpm during big hands but my average is ~75bpm so I've made some improvement.
My average while not playing and resting is ~60bpm.

Anyway, the point of this thread is:
Do you have any advices/tricks to maintain a decent beat rate while playing? And especially during big hands?
Also do you, professionnal players, work on it too or am I the only one to care about my heart bpm?

notice that I'm not talking about tilt or anger management. I still feel shitty sometimes of course after a bad session but it only last about fifteen minutes so I'm not talking about that.

EDIT Mate told me that the way I worded the bottom post could compromise the buyers in the event I win the first tourney i play and decide to play all the tourneys to reduce payout.. So i'm going to list all the tournaments I will most likely play. In the event I am sick or something comes up and I cant play it I will refund a % of the buyin you sent.

So havent played too much poker due to family and the whole engagement thing. I'm also very busy with working on my whole website.

Anyway I have 50k hands on a computer in china, but I lost a bit with about 40 buysin behind ev there and 40 buysin behind ev again in this picture. Also been running terrible postflop, especially at 10/20 and 5/10, im basically only playing 2.5/5 and a bit of 200nl PLO till i get my roll back up.



Anyway, Im feeling real good albeit all this badluck hehehehe. I feel like my luck has hit bottom and its about to rebound and hopefully in a big way!

Anyways, im going to be play a bunch of NL games tourneys, selling M tourneys up to 50% at 1.25:1 and H tourneys up to 90% at 1.1:1.

As for which tourneys im playing, it will only be FR or 6max and wont be any rebuys. When ever I play will make an update here and I will verify and confirm that money received (marked how much $ for M and how much $ for H) before the start of the first event SCOOP 01 May 13st will buy a piece of what ever I play in the entire SCOOP series.

So for example, I receive $1,250 for M and $1,100 for H from LPBALLER and I end up playing $5,000 worth of M and $10,000 worth of H. LPBALLER will be getting 20% of ALL my M action this scoop and all 10% of all my H action this scoop.

After I didnt manage to win the PLO series Main Event:/ at least I finally shipped the 3€R Storm on ps.fr! Ended up 4th like a week ago and finally BOOOM, ran over everything, busted the guy who sat with me on the same ft same tourney a week ago on bubble of FT and 4 handed i had like 15m, others had 8m,7m,3m and the deal was pretty much in my favour i'd say! (altho I didnt understand a single word from the dealmaking, the host didnt translate anything into english lol)! also ship the TLB points!!^^

So as u seen in my previous blog post i broke up with my 4 years GF.

Im at the gym lifting weights, on my way to the water fountain, this hulkish man and I make eye contact. Fear immediately permeates my body. Does this man know i'm gay? I just read some very disturbing threads on 2+2 about Lock Poker.

The cliff notes are basically that they lost a ton of player funds in the Cyprus Banking crisis and are virtually cash broke. As a result they are emailing people who received p2p transfers and telling them that they will not be able to cash the money out. There are also transcripts from Lock Support stating that there is no amount players can play to be eligible for cashing out if they received transfers.

So yeah basically the site is a huge scam and they are trying to stop all cashouts so they can get enough fresh deposits to somehow save their site. FTP all over again basically except on a smaller scale. I was fortunate enough to cashout 2k from the site last year. I left like 1k on the site in case I felt like playing poker at some point in the future. Hopefully I can get the money off the site.. keeping my fingers crossed. I knew the risk when I deposited so this isn't like a big surprise or anything.

I am somewhat optimistic because I saw a blog post from MDoranD on card runners that he just received a cashout from Lock like last week. Also I never received a transfer on the site.. I just deposited and then ran it up. Oh well we will see what happens. If you still have money on Lock you better cashout ASAP!
