You ever start a weekend morning where you're ready to grind some cards when suddenly, your game jumps into hyperdrive? For some odd reason you begin 3betting/bluff raising people for no apparent reason, or you're playing out of your element and you KNOW this isn't your normal game? 100 hands in I regressed into some old habits & just had to log off. What would trigger this?

Sucks that I'm not playing my "a" game for some reason . man I wanna grind so bad but I guess its most +EV this way. Now we play the waiting game...

as far as I know, the all in EV line should tell you how you're running, but says nothing about your game. according to my graph, I'm 23 buyins under expectation. Now obviously this seems odd, but aren't EV lines supposed to even out over time? If this is true then I'm eventually "due" 23bi? I don't even know if I'm running bad or if its standard to run below your EV line. So please vote.

Well, had a pretty pleasant Sunday grinding 9 tables as you can see. I caught so many good hands that on one of my tables, my timebank had run out of time and I lost a ton of value getting autofolded. So I sent out an email to stars:

Hello Pokerstars support, Theres been an issue with the time bank at the games today. Typically, 30 seconds would seem to be enough time when faced with difficult situations at the table. When these decisions pile up on a single table, there is often no time left in the bank after the initial exhaustion of my clock. I was just 9 tabling today when these hands came up: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/649476 http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/649474 These 2 hands happened within 5 minutes of each other, on the very same table. I was more than flustered after the second time it had happened. Not only did the lack of time cost me the pot, but the full stacks of my opponents they had behind as well. as I was contemplating my raise sizing, my hands were autofolded. While I feel that pokerstars is technically very well adjusted for their software, in these instances these timing features seemed to work against their intended purpose, which is allowing players enough time to deliberate their actions without holding up the game. Once my initial reserves of "time" were exhausted there was little room for maneuvering. I feel that the loss of chips were not completely my fault. as an avid pokerstars player, I kindly ask that you review these hands and rule a fair decision. Your patience in this matter is greatly appreciated. Cheers! -vegable

Sup everyone. I didn't tell anyone this I don't think, but back in mid October - end of November I deposited $500 onto cake poker and came out almost 5x'ing my deposit with bonuses + rake back + winnings. So I took the whole thing out (which was really detrimental to my poker progress but real life happens) to help fund a vehicle for myself. Now I am the proud owner, free and clear, of a nissan sentra GXE. COMMUTOR CaR FUCK YaH!!!!






Life in the 50mph fast lane. Its my first car so now I obv have to learn about maintenance & shit. The interior has a faint smell, as if diesel fuel and tangerines were having a sweaty romp in the McDonald's ball pit.

So last night I went to that craigslist poker game again. It was a $30 bounty tourney, where if you knock a guy out, you get $$$ on the spot. Only now if someone knocks you out, you're worth more. So the more people you knock out the more you're worth.

all this didn't matter anyway though. 10,000 starting stacks. I played up to the 150/300 round. Some new fish which were pretty bad, like NL5 bad, were donking around and making hands. Obv I play lag and get some chips in the beginning, but hovered around 10k because I couldn't connect with some flops.

So suddenly whenever I'm in a hand someone else would pick up hands. I got impatient when I iso raised to 1500 ajs, with 1 caller in sb (game host, solid std player). Flop comes 939. He donks out 3k and I tiltfuckshove over 5k more, he snaps. I exit as 2nd out of the tourney....blah. There goes my week's worth of gas money.

Now I've officially earned degen status. Cheers

Ok someone confirm what this means because its driving me nuts. Do I actually blow really hard at this game? I can't seem to pinpoint any other major leaks other than what I'm already aware of (such as shoving spew). I think I play a balanced showdown and non-showdown strategy, but run really bad?

Well I started Janurarey trying to reach platinum star by 9 tabling 6max, was kind of a disaster lol. Ran especially bad at the beginning, and the tilt got magnified over 2x. Made a decent recovery.

For the last week of January I cut back down to 6 and its amazing how much clearer my decisions/reads are. For Feb I'll just concentrate strictly on learning the game and instead play 100NL constructively while getting platinum with ease, rather than grinding my nose off at 50NL.

Since I'm fairly new to the city of Seattle, I decided to get some real life poker-related activities going. an ad was posted up on craigslist about a game minutes away from campus, spreading omaha, razz, and other games. So needless to say I was pretty pumped about this. Prior to tonight (hold'em night) I met this dude in class that was playing on stars and invited him to come with; he didn't pick up. It was pretty scary walking to the house at night past a graveyard...brrr...

It was a nice and comfy house that held ~17 players, spread across 2 tables. It was a $20 rebuy tourney with 10k stacks. Only one person had re-bought (mom running the house, rest were all guys). It was weird how I was the only Chinese guy there and everyone else caucasian. I had forgotten how fucking wicked live poker was yo

So the beginning was pretty uneventful. I had built the image of a nitty maniac and got a huge fish to stack off against some nice lines. It was almost magical. I was getting the money in as setups or 60/40 70/30 favorites and won 9/10 flips. Did not get sucked out on ONCE!!! Wow. Imagine if online poker was that honest. also ran super good preflop.

The game was pretty...soft. I think a 25NL veteran could have taken it down. Vs me they just had no chance lol. SO since tourneys only require you to run good, I knowcked out about 6 people after a 4 hour game, which didn't even seem that long. 4 places paid & I got first for a $158 prize.

Tipped the host a fiver and since busses didn't run after 11, I had to call a cab toget home. -$33 FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Got intercepted by two cops because I was lookin suspicious outside some store waiting. Must have been the gangsta white tree design jacket.

and most amazingly, ther ewas one dude who I SWEaR LOOKS LIKE VITaL[MYTH] its fucking insane. he had the EXaCT same mannerisms, facial structure but with bigger cheeks, dare I say it, same nationality. But he checked down top set JJJ 3 sts & thought what a shame. He seemed pretty bright too talking about renewable resources n shit.

anyway fun night, got home at 1am. Peaces
