Today I decided to clean up some of the clutter around my pc, half of the notes I found un-interesting and just threw them away. The other half was about poker, the rest I wrote down on a notepad. It was used to give me impulses, or things for me to study at a later time so I wouldn't forget it. Things I pick up reading books, watching clips or things I got from just talking to people.
Thought I might share <3

posting from laptop so not sure of exact stats, but I got about $2500 in January with a large chunk from clearing bonuses. will update later when I get home. um I haven't played since like Jan 20th, lost my fire I guess due to resubbing to World of Warcraft.
also school has started again and I have very little idea of what's happening in most of my classes. need to get back to poker soon!
So I got in 10 this morning, would have gotten in more but I ran too good. It was sick.
10 played
3 wins and 1 fourth
SICK HEATER lol
I'd post the chart but its just ROFL big stairs....So I'm up 200+ for the month, halfway done with profit goal after session 1.... now just to get the volume total...go go me
Hello LP! Its my first blog here, I restarted playing poker this year after a 2year break. I used to be a 25nl/50nl reg but I have been having trouble since returning to poker. It obviously has got a harder game but I was wondering if you could take a look at my graph/stats to see if I have any huge notable leaks. I am too loose? Or losing too much at showdown?
I feel that I have been running very bad at 10nl but I hate this as an excuse and want to improve where iam falling behind. Volume is quite low understandable but I keep having to move down to keep to my BRM plan.
I think title should be that I am looking to sell 50% of my action, but steaks sounds cooler. Playing in 5 different tourneys next week at a local live casino I frequent, and the cost is around 410 total. I can afford this myself, but I do not want to dip as far into my spending money (my poker money is seperate)
The calendar for the tournaments can be found at the bottom of this page
I will be playing in 5 tournaments. 4 will be 70 dollar entry FR NLH events, and one will be a $130 6 max NLH event. I am looking to sell 50% of my action in each tournament. I play at this casino fairly frequently when they hold decently structured tournaments, and I cash in a little over 33% of them from what I can estimate(they almost always end up chopping when the blinds get too big). I have gotten to know many of the people that frequent the poker room. These tourneys are sure to be VERY soft, and I feel my edge is significant. The typical turnout of last year when they held this event was around 7-8 tables (10 players per table at this particular casino). I will be prepared to phone you of the size of the room beforehand and ask if you are still interested if you feel the size of the field is not warranted enough to your risk, as from what I can see they do not have guarantees on any of the tournaments except for the main.
I'm currently in the transition from NL25 to NL50. Here is a graph from my last month of play
If you would me to answer any questions, feel free to PM me or ask in this thread. Forgive me if I have missed anything blatantly obvious about staking, but I have never done this before

I'm still trying to master ICM which is getting a bit easier after someone explained how he does it, but requires practice.
In the 18 man sng I was able to get 4th and 2nd place. 4th place finish was a bit fencey mistake. Had 88 and shoved over a raise thinking it was a blind steal but the other guy had KK. In the 2nd place I got sucked out 88 vs 87.
In the 27 man sng I finished pretty far from the money primarily because of suck outs and needed shoves losing to a caller.
In the 180 man sng I got all the way up to final 45, but then ran into a situation of all in with AK, AK, JJ and the JJ won. A bit unlucky to be in that spot but ok.

The 9 man sng was where my problem shows when I was on the bubble and just melted away my chips. I did feel a little tilted though so yea XD.
i happy today because i have doubled my bankroll at the 25nl pot limit omaha after one week of play. i am also happy because it has give me some confidence in this crazy game of ours. i shall post graph...
this is the book i have readen that make me confident in playing this game. i hope everyone will also read this book studiously because it has help me.
i think i will take shot at 50plo tomorrow because my ambition is to reach 200plo.
In my last entry i was contemplating if i should start playing poker or not, and i have recently decided to give it a shot. I don't live in japan anymore which means i can finally start playing without being branded a criminal. I have been playing on and off for about 4-5days now, i made an account on Pokerstars and transfered $15 and it's been going good so far even though +$2 in 4-5days isn't really a sick streak. I have started on the lowest limits and i'm planning on just learning the basics and just try to grind my way up.
I'm not sure i'm going about this the right way though, is $2 profit normal for 4-5days? been playing for ~1hours each day. I read up on SSS and basics on how to start playing etc. but the problem is i'm not seeing a pattern when i'm playing. People are playing kind of stupid, at least that's the way it feels to me, they try to do stupid bluffs, betting, raising etc. when it makes absolutely no sense. It is kind of like when you scout someones base in SC and you see something stupid like roach/hydra den with no gas and you're thinking "wtf, that makes no sense, what do i do?!" Now i obviously don't know how to play every hand perfectly but according to the guides and what not some of their plays makes no sense. How do you play properly at these stakes in order to be able to climb to the higher stakes later on? right now all i'm doing is playing the extremely good hands which means i have to fold most of my hands, that makes climbing extremely slow.
Also, for all the swedes out there (or other people that might know), is playing on Pokerstars ok? i heard a lot about taxes being an issue? withdrawing $20 or something like that will probably not be a problem but in the future, is it worth staying at PS? i have $10 on SvS but i seriously despise their software and it just feels stale playing there.
Ehhhhhhhh made about 2K yesterday, and maybe ~9K vpps. I'm behind pace by 5K vpps so far this month, not bad. Playing in some sunday major mtts today to try and bink some $$$. GL at the tables!
So real life sucks and just as I started making good progress on grinding my cash BR I have to withdraw basically all of it to pay for fixing my car. So I'll only have about 80 bucks left to work with.
That being said I'll just move back down to NL5 and keep crushing that, but I'm not going to put in NEARLY as much volume as I did in those coupla days. I have gotten my SNG action covered again and will only use the NL5 to fill in GAPS. I plan on putting in ALOT more volume in the upcoming days in the SnG world.
Basically I talked with the wife about doing this instead of replacing my seasonal job with a bush league part time job til something better comes up. I've very confident I can make more than minimum wage at the 6 dollar level, I just have to be focused and put in the volume. The plan is to start posting daily updates and really focus on getting more volume in and continuing to better my game.
I really want to be able to pull at least 100 a week off of the site, so I would need to profit 200 bucks a week. If I keep up my current ROI which is right about 50%, I'd only need about 50 games a week to pull this off. If I ever don't have 50 games in a week I'm going to be VERY angry with myself.
Since keeping a 50% ROI would be tough over a huge sample, I would like to set a goal of 150 a week starting off to see what I can do. I don't like playing much more than 8 tables but I may expand that to starting with 10 since early stages are so roboty. As the tournies progress I would like to keep 8 rolling for a good period of time.
So recap of goals: starting Monday
Weekly average of 150 games played in Feb.
Withdraw an average of $100/week in Feb.
Grind my small personal BR at NL5 try to get about 5k hands a week, but not mandatory.
As I am sure there are quite a few LP'ers from So Cal, I figured I would make a blog post about it.
At the casino I normally go to, there is going to be a tournament series I will be playing in in a week or two. Smaller buy-ins, but that is not the reason for the blog post.
On the 19th of February, there is going to be a 10-25 NL cash game hosted by the casino to promote Mike Mizrachi being there. I have been the casino a fair bit, and the players there are INSANELY soft. You will be playing with grinder, but it is most likely going to be a 10 seat table (this casino has 10 seats in FR), so I am sure there will be plenty of fish.
Game is on the 19th of February, and I think if you want a seat, you have to call and arrange to be in the game. It is at the Pala Casino in Pala, an indian reservation off of the 15 just south of Temecula. I think it is 1k min and 10k max, so you may get some really deep play going depending on who shows up. Expect to see a few old man grinders that think they are decent, but their handreading skills are laughably awful.
I could be posting something that a lot of you already know about, but for any of you that play at the Palomar or something similar, this might be a pretty juicy game for you guys. For anyone that shows up, good luck!
Oh yeah, and wish me good luck as Im gonna be playing a lot of the small tourneys
