so today i'm naturally stalking Zazano as usual, open all his 16 tables.
Then somehow accidentally tableninja2 sits me in on one of the fucking tables at NL1k out of nowhere when im not even playing poker just talking on skype and I fucking missclick squeeze tableninja sizing.
Before I realize what's happening at that this isnt nl16 I autoclick raise cause its a sick spot + Show Spoiler +

Needless to say, when I'm on my deathbed I can be happy with my life as for a brief moment I flew with the eagles, I faced Gods. I hit and run run Zazano for five big blinds
What would I do if I get dealt QQ in late position and face a 3b and a decision for half my bankroll, we will never know.
SUp people last week was rly bad spewed loads, got tired, really bad diarrhea played like 2.5hrs/average per day was throwing shit across the room didn't feel like playing.
thought I'd share mah recovery over past 2days: (lost bout the same in a 10 day period prior)
- played through tilt, made shitloads of mistakes, spewed many stacks.
- logged off skype
- didnt watch any videos
- pushed volume by force even when I really didnt feel like it
- did lots of de-tilt stuff. I wanted to scream and throw stuff like I did thursday when I got sucked out on again but instead covered my face with a hoodie, bit it with my teeth closed eyes and took deep breaths to 10 and insterted logic
- consciously realized I was emotionally charged as fuck, and focused on not adding to that by any spots.
- I avoided regs that were aggressive that I spewed stacks for no reason to because they added to my emotional charge. Same when someone stacked me a few times I just left table when I felt like I'm getting negative emotions
- listened to jack canfield fucking awesome audio book and book the success principle. MOst important thing is that everything is my responsibility, I am accountable for everything I do in my life it goes like Events+Your reaction=Outcome
And since there is exactly nothing you can do about events like getting sucked out on in poker, you need to focus 100% energy on your reaction to the events and that's what (in the long run) is the only thing that changes your outcome.
Finally got my body in balance after it was drained with that diarrhea thing - I was eating shitloads of pasta veg and chicken and multivits to load back on nutrients over the past 2 days and finally I feel like I have my energy back after 2weeks I feel pumped up for the gym once more.
I never realized how huge impact your diet can have.
For the past 6weeks my landlord was redoing the bathroom and kitchen so I was without fridge, microwave and freezer and couldn't cook much cause there were always builders and dust in the kitchen.
My diet consisted of
- pasta with ketchup/eggs sometimes just pasta
- sausages
- instant mash potatoes, instant soups
- ham, cereal bread
- protein powder
- plain porridge
- meals with family (christmas etc.)
My bowel movements were all over the place, energy levels down i felt heavy a lot cause I ate close to no light food and had trouble sleeping.
I'm so freaking relieved and when I found out last night that my fridge works and kitchen can be used again I had to go refill on normal stuff.
I was never excited about shopping like I have been today, felt a little gay but it felt so good to buy food I like again.
I don't go full paleo, and I don't count calories. Poker diet is all about being practical, carbohydrates help with production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that is responsible for balanced mood and self-control and steady levels should be a priority. Only wholewheat pasta and porridge for carbs is brutal tho hard on the stomach as I found last 6 weeks, I'll still use them moderately but last 6 weeks showed me the importance of easily digestible fibre containing carbs tat veg and fruit have - you just feel a lot lighter. Got bananas, oranges and some added fibre cereal bars for snacking - need to keep that carb intake balanced and not load 30 minutes before bed as I've been doing last few weeks with pasta (lead to shitty sleep)
Got my chicken breasts, canned tuna, 10%fat pork meat, dried soy meat and eggs for my brotein, they are rly good for recovery if you lift and help you feel fuller for longer. Proteins also help with production of dopamine, the neurotransmitter that regulates motivation an
Monosaturated fat helps with production of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine that is critical for learning and memory. It does keep you full as well I hear so got my extra virgin olive (gigitty) oil, peanut butter, pumpkin seeds and some fish for that.
I don't count calories, don't have an eating schedule since I workout randomly sometimes come home 23pm. Most food lasts long - frozen chicken, vegetables, canned fish, cucumbers, i buy bananas that are greenish. Basically it's all about simplicity. I don't have strict rules or anything for me it's more about eating the right stuff and getting into a habit of doing so and having fun in the process. I'll still keep protein shakes for after workouts and b6 b12 supp they seem to up my energy without the negative effects of caffeine.
Well let me guys know what you think, and how you go about creating a diet.
It was my 7th year in Scotland, first after I broke up with my ex-gf of 4years. She was kinda the reason why I stayed in Edinburgh in the first place - our common language was English.
Job I rly liked stop paying us, wasn't enough work and the entire office is now gone.
I was burnt out, felt rly bad because of that, was eating rly badly and fell completely out of shape.
It was even worse than this + Show Spoiler +
October year before I decided I'm gonna grind some poker on the side for funzies from $50 and now I had to pay bills with it. So when my manager/flatmate decided to move to London I knew I'd move on from Edinburgh. I had some job offers for 26keur/y+comission from Ireland, and with a good degree and 2+y experience in sales/finance I'd get easily get a decently paying job and could continue the grind in the UK.
But I knew if I do that I'd stick at it and would hardly get the chance to do something that was originally planned to happen after 2 semesters in Scotland - move back to Czech Republic, at least for a few months.
So in August I just threw all my stuff had away (my russian neighbours took all my stuff like 5 minutes after I put it next to garbage outside xD), bought an airplane ticket and without savings moved to Czech Republic and stayed with my sister for a few months. I made enough to cover expenses with part time pokering while catching up with friends, starting floorball again at a local team and after looking at the local job market and rents decided - what the hell I can actually do it and it;s pretty much the only option that allows me to try playing sports on a high level again and stay in mu home town - Ima play poker fulltime :D
It took me October to get set up in my new $200/mo flat and since November I've been playing poker fulltime. Since them I dropped some 10kg, got under 90kg for the first time in some 4years + Show Spoiler +
Things I have improved poker wise
- Started thinking in ranges again when playing A game
- I still tilt, but my C game is WAY better than it used to be. I used to have 10-15BI money spew sessions, and now even in drawn out full retard sessions the mistakes I make are so much less frequent than when I played nearly fulltime as a student. The job in sales helped heaps in that aspect, its was pretty much the same -hard way to make an easy living as some 80people would reject you every day and you sign up 2-4 for good moneyz.
- started my strategy thread where I write down what I learned including hand reviews. I think working too much on theory is harmful and I tried to avoid that and work on my own game instead, and record only quality resources that I can review afterwards.
- improved mindset. I listened to this: this and it rly helped in terms of being okay with what I am. I'm comfortable with myself as a person and I must say compared to other people I'm like Jesus Christ :D. I simply decided that I take enough negatives at work in terms of lost pots (read my blog on attitude) that I'm not gonna be negative outside poker. Normal people don't get this but but I got closer to the mindset of "if you don't like something in your life, change it and if you can't or unwilling to do so, just learn to accept it"
- and probably the greatest and hardest accomplishment ever - Deleted dota and didn't touch it in over 2 months. This probably mad the biggest difference in my life as it freed up so much time it's incredible.
2012 graphs:
pre-purge hobby play next to work etc, from $50: + Show Spoiler +
+ made 40 bucks at NL100 (have PT4 small stakes only ;p)
+ got some $200 from $90 at microgaming. Sunk way too much time into 10Euro blaze poker I must say :D
+ rakeback, and around $1200 profit from tourneys.
Arbitrary things I want to work on in 2014. I am looking into proper goal setting in scholarly research but it's not finalized yet and it might take a couple months.
1) Thought process - plan range based not 2 card based. This is entirely in my sub-concious and my mind evaluates every spot in terms of their range and my range then uses my 2 cards.
I can play both pure exploitative or pure near gto in any spot.
2) Time management. I only spend time productively, when not playing or studying or talking about poker I read/hang with friends/excercise/walk/spend time with family and when I play poker, I only focus on poker.
3) I eat regularly and have strong healthy eating habits
4) I am fit enough to match or better any other goalkeeper in the highest Czech floorball division physically.
5) I have friends or coaches in the poker community with which I set goals and challenges every month, and I push myself to my maximum every day.
6) I know I work harder than any regular who I sit with at the tables.
7) My game is strong from the top bottom but also from the bottom up.
I continue to keep record of my C game and every month I summarize previosu month and take actions improve my c game as shown in my spew thread
You oughta Look Out? No my precious, this blog is about the proper douchey meaning.. There's a lot of people that are waiting for something. They are the far seer causality scientists of this world and speak in the "when" "then" terms. When the perfectly right moment arises, then I'll speak to that hot chick in my class. When i retire, then I'll start working on my dreamy model airplanes. When I get promoted or fired and change my job, then I'll be happy. What they don't realize is that they can be run over an ice cream truck tomorrow, and also how the human brain works.
The brain is constantly overwhelmed by an endless stream of information, ant it's constantly to process it and make sense of it all whilst projecting everything assimilated into the future in order to help you make decisions. In the process it simplifies, anchors to arbitrary things, and tries to see patterns even where there absolutely are none. It fabricates the projection of the future, but also manipulates the understanding of the present.
So fuck the when and then, either act and take the steps to shag that girl or build the model airplane RIGHT NOW. Or simply ask your brain often, loud and clear to perceive the present; not the fabricated projection of the future; as the time and place to be happy, as the time of opportunities, not problems. Because even when you are absolutely sure you know the "when" and "then" you are still probably wrong.
/end random bored on subway ramble.
Personal shit:
Went to Paris for 4 days, spent one watching 4 Star Wars movies in a row with my pal drinking their largest, 250ml beers. Yolo.
First proper fulltime month in years.
Just poker, floorball and gym besides that went clubbing 3x and met family peoples like 8 times and went running with sis a couple times.
I think with the competitive sports/gym and poker dual goals my life seems pretty balanced. Lost 12kg since I got here too 4mo ago and overall feel happy. Even to the tune of pissing my 30+y old team mates off with my positivism even when our team loses 9:3 - people with normal jobs tend to be rly negative I find
next step: nutrition Im at about 2/10 right now so biggest room for improvement.
And of course the Christmas and new year's! I am expecting lots of presents. To me. From fathers of families spewing their holiday money.
Science time!
A real life researcher in a proper scientific Journal came to the following conclusion in their research
"All beers can be taken in moderation as part of so called "low carb" diet. Translation: Drinking beer makes you shredded
"There is scope for positioning beers as being source of "good carbs" i.e. soluble fibre and probiotics Translation: Drink Beer, Run Faster, Jump higher, perfect food baby
bastards man.
So I think to myself, would be nice to have gym buddy for today...text this dude on my team I even ask him what time HE wants to go. He tells yeah Ill go man make it 1pm.
12:10 dude texts me he can't make it for no reason.
Call my friend, are you in town man? Nah Im away, but If you have time at 5 I'd go for sure.
So I change my schedule I sit there in my running clothes hat ready to run play a sesh dressed like freaking marathon runner, and obviously 4pm he calls me he can't make it.
how hard is this shit just tell me you can't make it I play a poker session in my gym suit like a retard change my time and dude can't make it again? The fuck is this shit.
What's wrong with people now I don't even wanna go where I could have gone mother efin 9am and be pumped all day.
Hashtag need a fucking reliable gym buddy how do I find one dot com
I go running with my sis and went yesterday but she doesn't do weights for some reason, what a girl.
On Sunday I came back from 400km long trip, hangover as we went drinking sat after our match, tired as fuck from floorball games (One game lasts the same as ice hockey game) - perfect mix of being cocky and tilted for a disaster wipe of my BR.
My thought process was the basic 2 card one that I revert to when I play tilted - I open NL50 tables and this dude sits me - let's play till the fish join, no big deal.
has a ton of hands at 600NL from 2011 ish and a failed shot at high stakes, $400k tourney cashes http://www.highstakesdb.com/profiles/Eduts.aspx
Needless to say, I get my ass handed to me.
11 wins, 31 losses lol
These are the hands above 6bb, as went chronologically:
H1

- flop is a decent one for check behind imo with the sd value. On the river against nl50 regs should be a call because of the sizing - they usually are polarized when they bet like that and Ank never bets like that. Problem I have with this hand against someone who 3b alot is that when I call I don't get paid as much, and this guy was somewhat balanced in that he wasn't cbetting too much and did cr some as PFR so I rly hated calling. guess if I want to call wide range and bluff at him it's nice to have pocket pairs and strong hands in my range but I just can't flat hands well v aggro good guys. I felt I was totally being run over at this point - just folded preflop 8 times in a row just ran dead at the table I felt like I needed to take a stand at some point and did it with a hand like this, oops it just suck xD
Postflop I really don't know, the guy barrels with balanced frequency somewhat if I turn it into a bluffcatcher I pretty much fuck myself up and don't know how many to call off as the kicker's so weak. So basically I use the outs to barrel.
On the turn I pick up shitty heart draw I don't want ot cc or cf so bet seemed like the only option to me meh I dunno rly don't want to cf that aganst him when he call alot andwhen I cc I will want to strangle myself on pretty much any but 9 6 rivers.

Ye like I am completely hemorrhaging money don't knot what the fuck to do here. If I 4bet I have to fold to shove - he wasn't shoving like crazy or anything. If I do it too small to 4b fold he calls me and I'm fucked anyway.
So calling seemed like the best option by far, I am ahead of his range a ton and dominate random suited QKx shit he 3b with.
But then again - I don't know what to do when I call 3bets... when I peel one on the flop U just fold the turn and give him even more money, basically I hope he cbets and checks it down? or that I hit a jack?

Alright I take this as paid tuition:
- Don't play HU at the highest stake you play when tilted and hangover
- Against good players I REALLY have to consider my own range and make sure I play based on equity, not raise with random shit just because I'm getting ran over.
- have to learn how to play when I call 3bets in and out of position.
- He showed me the importance of playing wide PF but then balancing postflop - float a lot IP, don't autocbet oop (He c/r against other people as PFR too), don't autobet vs missed cbets and generally use position a lot more. he c/r more than normal players and barreled more - basically when he'd be aggro postflop he'd make sure it's for more than one street if possible
